Default Need some help......Bloggers question

Can anyone tell me how to go about putting a counter of some sort on my blog................I can't seem to figure it out. Also for anyone that uses Blogger, is there a way to make a header for it. I would really like to add some artwork to jazz it up a bit. Thanks for any help.

I use http://www.statcounter.com/ I like it because it is free; and it is not just a counter but it tracks all my statistics; like how/where people found me, how often people visit, and for how long. It also tracks IP addresses and search engine key words... lots of cool stuff!

It also tells me not just how many hits I get; that's really a page-load statistic... so for example if you have a tracker and it says you have 1000 hits in one day; chances are that is really just 300-500 individual people... and they loaded the page more than once; like when they leave to visit a link on your page and then return back. It also will tell me who is a returning or regular visitor; and it makes pretty charts and graphs for you! SO it's very accurate.

I also like that you can make it invisable. I'm not really a fan of visable counters...

sorry forgot to add; stat counter witll generate a code for you and you just paste the html in your template... it's very simple and they give great instructions.

AND I can't help with the header; but many people out there are doing this for extra cash... I am sure someone wil pop up soon to tell you more... but you could try doing a search here for "blog header" too.

Good luck!

www.sitemeter.com is really cool - it tracks your hits and also gives you a map of where people are checking on you from. If people were referred to your site from another site it tells you those links too. My counter is from www.easyhitcounters.com .......seems like they had a variety of styles to choose from.
