actually, distance does matter when calculating postage..it's based on weight as well as from zip code to zip code. the only time it doesn't matter is if you are using a flat rate box.
BUT, having said that.... WHO CARES!!!!!!
GRANNY ROCKS!!!!
This is going to be so much fun, the postage doesn't matter! And like the previous poster said, we all knew when we signed up that there would be postage involved! Don't stress Granny!!

Just wanted to remind you that I'll be out of town from the 6 to the 13th.
Maybe cathymaxwell should mail to the third stamper & put me toward the end? I hate to make y'all wait while the box sits unopened! Unless she's super speedy, of course! ;)
I just noticed the group #2 wasn't ever update and I sent Granny a PM over the weekend. Group #2 was mailed back out on Friday July 29 th.
Didn't want anyone to think I was holding onto the package.
Also note to everyone, before going to town to mail I weighed the pkge to see which way was cheaper and UPS and Priority was about the same. Well I was going to be going right pass the UPS Store so I mailed it from there.
Well to make a long story short, they charged more money that it calculated at their online site and it was going to take a week to get from Arkansas to Washington state. since I was already there I went ahead and mailed it with them as I wouldn't make it to the PO before they closed, and it would involve another trrip to town and I live out in the sticks. So Priority may end up being acheaper and cut down the mail enroute time as well. HTH
I RECEIVED MINE TODAY!!! WOW ~ whay a bunch of neat things in there! This is soooooo much fun. I will have it in the mail on Monday to brecpa! I'm sure you can't wait!!! Don't worry about the postage ~ the postage is worth the fun we are having with this!!!

GOODIE BOXES
Oh boy...won't be long now...and GRANNY, please do not fret over the postage...if it bothered us..we would not have signed up... I do not remember ever getting anything neat and not paying at least a little bit for it... so now just relax and watch all of us have fun...THANK YOU SO MUCH GRANNY FOR DOING THIS FOR US...YOU ARE GREAT...
Awhile back Granny posted a thread about cleaning out her craft room & about how everyone is probably guilty about buying stuff & then later wondering why we did it. She asked if we would be interested in passing a box around (someone called it a red robin) and a few of us signed up. She said it will probably happen again. I guess if you want in maybe pm her to see if she plans on doing another one.
Hint: Black, white, red & pink ;)

Is it animal, vegetable, or mineral?

Big mouth! You get it last so all the good stuff will be gone (saying as I stick my tounge out at you! :p )
Hmm... more hints. Ok.. Rubber, Paper, Ink, metal, plastic I wil tell you the postage for SBinGA paid to ship it to me was only about $8.00. I thought that was great for how heavy the box was. Just a little FYI. I will be shipping to Erika who lives in Oregon. And I think the box will weigh more so I will see tomorrow how much it is. I know for a fact I got $8.00 worth of stuff out of it if I was to pay the original price for the items. Again I say thanks to Granny!

WOWSER! SOUNDS GREAT - ALL KINDS OF NEAT STUFF - CAN'T WAIT TO SEE
Hmmm! metal and plastic sound interesting. Is it bigger than a breadbox?

goodie boxes
As I am waiting for the box to arrive here I have a question... can we take out more than one item if we replace them with an equal number of items? or are we limited to just one? I just to do it the right way... I am getting excited...

I'm not in charge, but I believe the idea is to take out whatever you want and just replace it with an equal amount of stuff, not just 1 thing.
