Mod Podge... Matte or Glossy?
I went to Michaels yesterday to buy some Mod Podge (and other stampin' stuff, of course). I found that they had Matte and Glossy and decided to buy the Matte. So, I'm wondering... do you use matte or glossy (or both) and what do you use it for?

I have always gotten the matte. I use it to cover journals. I have never used the glossy. I am happy with the matte and so I have never gotten the urge to try the glossy. I am always afraid that glossy will show too many flaws.
Anyone else have an opinion?!? |
I have used both and prefer the glossy when working on glass. To decoupage onto a glass plate or bowl the glossy is nicier. In the fall I make bean balls (different lentels like navy, pea, chick peas) and glue them to differeent size styrofoam balls and put on several layers of matte finish. I also use the matte to attach the paper onto altered tin items, although there is a paper decoupage one now. Hope this helps. I always read these threads but this is my first response. Karen

huh....I've only used it once at a class, but mamak got some the other day. I think she got glossy and is using it to cover journals and stuff. Looks fine.
