Yep, I can't stand the headless stamps -- they're always odd looking to me. Now I just flat out avoid them. I know there are some awesome cards made with them that I've never seen . . . just can't handle looking at them. The Bellas are the same way for me. I guess the whole cartoony thing just doesn't do it for me -- I just don't like 'em. It IS a good thing there's so much diversity in the stamping world . . . we can each find things we love!

The faceless ones remind me of Precious Moments for some reason.... I know they actually had faces, but those big droopy eyes always bugged me, and that's the same feeling I get with the faceless stamps. None for me, thanks- but I'm glad others enjoy them.

That is too funny!
That said, I don't own any MFT stamps or Magnolias either, because no head or missing facial features bother me, especially the headless. But I do love all the projects other people are able to create with them.
I love HappyHearts idea to use the facial expressions from another stamp.

They don't bother me... I see them as an open canvas for creativity.
I am not a bella "stick people" fan though. My stamping friend thinks they promote eating disorders - I just don't like them.

The headless dog walker is one of few I like because the dogs are the focus not the person, it's all about the dogs! Oh well, life would be boring if we were all alike...

I loved reading this thread. It made me LOL! I do own a few of the MFT stamp sets. I like them as they are really different than my usual sets. I like the fact that there are so many different styles out there. I do agree that the Magnolia stamps are a bit freaky deaky!

I SO agree with this!!! I won't buy stamps without all the facial features, and cupcakes with arms...what the heck?? Those goofy giant grins creep me out.

I Love "My Favorite Things" stamps. Actually most people I give them to, when they bring up the card that I made them, I jokingly say oh "the headless girl" card, and they say "headless"?? They have to look at it again, they really dont ever realize she was headless LOL I really think, your mind just sort of puts a head on her Haha Anyway I love them.

This trend is in home decor, too!
I agree -- the whole missing facial features really freaks me out. I noticed in the store the other day a whole line of figurines missing facial feature. Creepy!!!

I love MFT's "headless wonder", but REALLY do not care for the "mouthless potato head."

this is exactly what I thought when I saw them. I realize people have different tastes and have seen beautiful work done with them, the stick armed Bellas and the MTF Headless Wonders. I just like more realism in my people stamps. Heck, I'm still looking for a SU Wild Wild West set! That guy looks real to me. I think these companies have enough fans that they won't miss my business
