I hope someone can help me. I returned home from CHA on tuesday and i have found out that UPS has no records of the 2 boxes i left with them to ship to my house. i had all my class samples, freebies from class, make and takes, catalogs, clothing, toiletries and other assorted items. I can only figure that they didn't put my labels on them and shipped them to someone else. That someone else receives them and responds to this is about the only way to get them back. if they just return them to UPS I'll never get them because UPS has no record of them - even though they set me up with an account. please share this if you would. thanks
no. it was my class projects that i did, the freebies i collected, dies and stamps handed out in class, clothes, toiletries etc. i was trying to not overload my suitcase. ups set up a booth at the convention center and i set up an account and left my packages with ups. they didn't give anyone tracking, paperwork etc. they told us they would invoice us.sounds silly now, but it made sense at the time

Sounds kind of sketchy - or even like a scam, so I hope that's not the case! I would be so...AGGRAVATED...about this! Please be sure to update us if you recover your stuff! I definitely feel for you...
How awful. Have you contacted the facility where CHA was held? Maybe they're in lost and found. Slim chance, but worth a couple phone calls to the venue site, and even CHA - maybe someone there can put some pressure on UPS. I hope they turn up.
First, I think you should contact UPS and see if they had a legitimate booth set up at CHA. I agree with Sue that the whole thing sounds a little like a scam. For your sake, I hope not. I cannot imagine UPS not giving you some sort of paperwork when you left your packages.

I was at an LSS today where the owner, her daughter and an employee went to CHA. They used the UPS booth that Linda referred to. But they have a tracking number, and were very surprised that boxes were taken without providing it.
If it's anything like non-crafty conventions I attended years ago, it can be chaotic. All it takes is for a customer and a rep not focusing for an instant - like the customer not asking for the receipt in this case, and the rep being distracted, and bad stuff/mistakes happen.
You'd hope UPS would give the boxes to the venue lost and found or security. The OP posted this in several places and probably on other websites so she may not come back.
Even at a smaller Stamp & SB Expo, where bags and carts could be checked at a booth run by a charity, I saw someone in the booth run after a woman who walked away without her claim ticket. Not as bad, but commotion causing problems. : (
