Default Scrapbooking Crop Group?

Just was wondering how many people are in a scrapbooking crop group?

We're starting one in our area and can get a meeting room at the library for free! But we can only use it 6x a year (so, everyother month). It's going to be free to the public (so any scrapbooker can come and is part of the library rules) and not affiliated with any one company (which is nice).

What do you guys do at your crops? snacks? themes? games? I dunno... I've never been a part of one and don't know where to start. Is there things we should keep in mind when we start? All tips or ideas will be appreciated!

Ive gone to a few crops at my scrapbooking store. They charge a fee and buy pizza, soda, and dessert. They also have contests and the winners always get something great. Our crops always go from 4-10pm, so dinner is necessary. Depending on what time you have your crop, you may not have to worry about a meal, but snacks are nice. I would recomment not having food at the tables, and nothing but bottled drinks so that nothing gets spilled on anyones pages. If everyone put some money into a kitty, (I'm sure the library wouldn't mind if all the money went into the prizes) you could also get prizes for contests or door prizes. That is always fun. As for how many people. remember that each person will need so much space at the tables, so you can judge how many you can have based on the number of tables provided. Remember to keep it fun and good luck.
