Default microscope slides

I have joined a Christmas ornament swap and am at a loss for what to do. I looked at the trim the tree section in the gallery and like the ornaments made using the microscope slides. The only thing is that my local craft stores do not have the slides. Does anyone know where I can get them? I need to get them this weekend.
Does anyone out there have any other ideas of what I could do? I like the glass ornaments, but don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!

I order mine online from indigo.com.......a scientific suppy house. If you need ideas or paper made just to fit the slides; I higly recommend tuscanrose.com. She's a really cool lady who's a real pleasure to do business with. I would also be happy to mail you some slides if need be....I have tons.

Our larger craft store (crafts direct) carries them......they just call them glass slides, I have not checked at archivers, micheals, or Joannes

Ranger makes a product line called Inkssentials These make it REALLY easy to put together a pretty ornament. Perhaps if you use their "Where to Buy" button they might be able to assist you in finding a store near you. Have fun and I'm looking forward to seeing your creation!

Are you in a college town? If so try to local college book store, they usually carry supplies for science labs and they should have them.
I usually order them on-line but if you need them in a hurry this might be an option for you

Wow, how cool. I just looked in the gallery for this, I have never seen them used for cards/ornaments before. I'm gonna have to try this now.
