Default Microbeads?

What is your favorite source for microbeads? I don't have a source other than the catalog and I want a bunch of different colors and clear as well. Can you help? Thanks loads!

Is this how people make the beaded pens, they use the sticky sheet from penny wise and cover with the beads?

Yes! When I ordered from PWA, instructions for the pens were included in my package!

Did you order mini or micro mini? Opaque or translucent, etc...??? A couple of colors to mix?

I had the translucent for pens once and didn't care for the look. I would have preferred the opaque. Don't know about what other people may like.

Ok, this is a huge help. So you order the micro beads, and the sticky paper also? Anything else. I'd like to make these for my college aged daughter and her girlfriends....Is there a tutorial anywhere on this I wonder? Do you mix the colors or make them solid for a better look?

I just bought fusia and silver micro beads at big lots for only 33 cents. I got several packages. They were good quality, but I can not remember the brand. The microbeads were all round. I hate it when you get a package of them and them have smooshed micro's. Picking those out is a pain....

They also had scrapbooking paper and albums from k & company really cheap.

Blessings,
Pam

I unfortunately don't have advice but am interested in this project. What type of pens does everyone use?

There are several threads out there but I got my instructions today from conductorchick and they were very clear. PM her and she'll give you instructions and her pen is in the sub under gifts I think.

Thanks for the heads up ladies. I'm off to pennywisearts!

p.s. I just got the most gorgeous pen from my DDSS!

33 cents is GREAT! I just got some at michaels for $1.99 for 2 containers about the size of film cans. They had lots of colors. Didn't have any last week. Wierd.

PennyWise fan here! The prices are great as are the product! She ships in flat rate envelopes so shipping prices are the best

If you want a store, I was surprised at the selection at Wal-mart's craft area. Check both in the scrapbook area and the beading area.
