Wondering why...

When you have scanned some pictures for someone on an ISO thread, send the pictures and you never hear from the person again. Is this normal?

I dunno, same thing happened to me. I spent and hour taking pics, and then uploading them, etc. I was annoyed because with 2 little one's, my time is precious and I would have liked a thanks.

I offered to get clear $1 stamps for someone,she said ok, got them, let her know, never heard. She finally answered my third pm "someone else got them for me." Never again!

I've had mixed experiences trying to be kind on the internet, just like in real life, lol.

I've gone out of my way and gone to lots of trouble to help someone, and never got an acknowledgement. And, I've also received profuse thanks when I didn't do much at all.

Just like my ole daddy always said: "It takes all kinds - and they're all here!"

So I've decided to just keep on being who I am, which is, I hope, a kind and helpful person. If I have time to help, I still do, but I don't have huge expectations in return.

That said, I've met many, many more nice people online than not. Especially here at SCS.
