Michaels and Martha Stewart *merged*
Hello,
was in the Michaels store at Ridgedale, MN, and was told by one of the sales associates who was restocking stickers, that at the end of April, Martha Stewart will have her own line of paper, stickers, stamps, albums @ michaels......cant wait to see what all that is about....

When I was at my Michael's last week they had ROWS and ROWS of boxes in the scrapping area and all the shelves had BARE spots. I asked about what was going on, and was told the same thing! Martha Stewart has a scrappin line! Whoohoo! I asked (selfishly) if there was going to be ribbon and flowers like Primas and she told me nobody knew what was in the boxes, it was gonna be a surprise for all!
I can get back to Michael's this afternoon and will report back with what I find.

Just found THIS on Michaels website. It really doesn't say much, but it says that it's coming April 29th.

How exciting - I just love Martha - and that little legal issue she had - they were so making an example out of her. There are folks who have done a lot worse than her (and I'm not saying she was right in what she did) and didn't serve even a lousy day. I think she's an incredible lady - what a come back she made with her show!!

Not sure if this is true, but I read on another site that you won't be able to use the M's coupon on the Martha stuff. Don't know if that's true...

What's up with that?? Is it going to be so expensive (cricut) that they don't want to risk giving the coupon?
Grr...just getting stuck by the man again.
Maybe I'll wait to see before I really get my game face on.

It's about time Michael's has new products. I know there a few now and again, but not consistently, like a LSS does.

A little time in the big house gave Martha some thinking time!!! "Where could I make some real money, ah, scrapbooking" "Yes, scrapbooking those girls will love me, again, ha ha ha" "When I get out of here - I will make paper, ribbon, everything, they will buy, buy, buy"
OK I'm just kidding but I'm sure that was on her mind all those days & nights in the slammer.
Don't get me wrong - I love Martha, who doesn't!!!!
Can't wait to see what she came up with...

At the M's I work at we are starting the reset in the next few days on the Memory aisles which usually means we will be seeing new product with in a week. The big advertising push for the new line will be at the end of April. I can't wait to see what we get! The memory department has been so in need of an over haul for a while. Rumor has it I get to help with the reset so I get to open the boxes. It will be better than Christmas!!

Ok..I've been lucky enough to find out what's in some of the boxes. There are alot of new punches (lever ones finally!!!), paper stacks, tons of embellishments including flowers that look like primas but aren't the same maker. New scrapbooks in 12x12 and 8x8 sizes, chipboard letters in glitter colors, lots of cuttlebug diecuts and embossing folders, new scrapbook totes, new papers in 12x12 and 8x8, ribbons, cardstock bundles in pastels, neutrals and brights with matching envelopes, tons and tons of stickers and I can't for the life of me remember anything else right now (lol). If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Basically, the entire memory section is being redone including stamps!! It's about time they got new stuff!!!

not enthused at all at the thought of everything in micheals being by one line. not at all. and if the shelfs are bare now, does that mean there will be nothing at all to be bought until april 29?

How exciting that Michaels is getting some new things. I have been stopping by a couple of times each week to see if the Michaels near to me has had any thing new and have walked out with out buying any thing because it has been the same old stuff. Bring on the new scrap and stamping items.

I was at our Michaels and they said they were totally revamping the stamp/scrapbook section, new product lines and extending some of the existing lines! Can't wait!

Yep, my Michaels also had a "blowout" sale last weekend to get rid of lots in preparation for a new line. Then at the checkout, they put a little one sheet color flyer promoting the Martha line coming April 29th.

It is so nice
to read something positive about Martha. People on a couple of other boards went so far as to say they hated her and would not buy any of her products. That is sad, sad, sad to me. The few things I have bought from her website catalog have been top quality. I love her creativity and willingness to share that knowledge with others. Thanks for such a positive thread.

I read on my friend Anna's blog that she was contacted by Martha Stewart's show regarding her scrapbooking group and if they would be interested in being part of the audience for a show dedicated to scrapbooking. Hmmmmm....wonder if this is in relation to the release of her scrapbook line?

Unfortunately, there weren't any of them. No doubt I would've bought them all and offered them to anyone here who is still looking for one. I finally found a giga one myself online at 1stopsquare.com a few weeks ago. But I will keep my eyes open for you in case they happen to show up at M's.

new scrapbooking section at Michaels
My Michaels has cleared several aisle to add a new scrapbooking section by the end of the month. My friend teaches their scrapbooking classes and she told me that the store will be closed a day to set up all the new products. I got a flyer for a new Martha Stewart Craft section coming end of April. Is Martha Stweart now having a scrapbooking line?
There was a whole new section of Cuttlebug dies and folders on Friday. I got the new retro block and new polka dot background folders.
I also got a great deal on $40 Making Memory kits on sale for $9. They included all the products to make 3 mini books which I use for Birthday presents for family. I also got a grommet kit which included punches, tools and all sizes of grommets. These kits were marked $40 on sale for $19.99 and they rung up $9. An Easter present for me!
I am excited to finally have a local store with some fun scrapbooking supplies.

Maybe they are getting ready for National Scrapbooking Day on May 5.
Who thinks of these 'National Days"? We need a National SCS Day. Oh, wait a minute. That's everyday!!!!

Yes, my store here in SE Michigan had a big scrapbook blowout sale a couple weeks ago...nothing really great - mostly stickers. When you paid, the cashier would hand you a flyer about the Martha Stewart scrapbook/crafting line to be introduced April 29th.
