Default metallic pencils

What can you use metalic pencils for? I have some and I'm not sure what to do with them. Thanks.

I use them to make small background pieces to mount an image to. Use several different colors and black cardstock. Start making long scribble lines using all of your colors. When the cardstock is completely covered take a tissue and buff your colors. This makes a unique, shimmery background.

I like that idea and I'm sure going to try it. I have also stamped an image and embossed it, then colored in the inside with bleach and colored over the bleach with the metallic pencils. Works great on dark cs.

I've not done this but seem to remember seeing a card that used the metallic pencils then took a baby wipe and wiped gently, in a circular motion and it seemed to give a sort of halo-like effect and made the whole area sort of shimmery. Worth a try.
