Default Masking - cool shortcut!

I'm probably not the first to discover this, but I'll share anyway. I was working on some Christmas cards with masking and my mask started to bleed through because of the multiple times I'd used it. So, I needed to cut another one. Then, I'm thinking I may as well cut more than one, since I mask this particular image often.

So I stamped the image on the top sheet of my post-it pad, pulled off 4 sheets and cut them all at one - ta-dah! 4 masks!

Thank you! Even what we think should be obvious escapes us in the moment. SO thanking you for providing my "duh, why didn't I think to do that" momentLOL

I have taken it one step further. I stamp the image on a post it note stuck to thin plastic (page protectors, etc.) and apply a bit of temorary adhesive to the back after cutting. It lasts a very long time and I don't need to worry about cutting a new one all the time. I store them on another page protector sheet and apply more adhesive when I need to.

Oh, great idea! I think you could probably stamp right on the plastic with stazon. I store the mask right in the stamp case, so it's always with the right set.

I love that idea, I used that when I was a kid when I was into stamps, but now I am an adult I am even more into them and can't wait to do more with my stamps, thanks for a great tip!

That's an awesome idea. Duh, why didn't I think of that. Another great masking product is eclipse tape you don't end up with the bleeding through problem. At least I haven't run into it yet.

Great idea. I reuse so would never have thought of it but it would great to do to make sure there is no risk of bleeding.

Great idea to make multiple masks. When our "arty" little minds are going full steam ahead, that's not the time short cut stuff comes to mind. Thanks for sharing.

I keep my masks stuck onto the stamp itself. Cutting out multiples is a great idea!
