Everyone on this board is so wonderful and I have learned so much! Thanks for sharing. My upline doesn't have the time to answer all of my questions.
I just discovered this weekend that many of my pads (none more than 2 months old) are curling up. What am I doing wrong. They are stored in air conditioning (74-76 degrees) with low humidity. Should I be storing them upside down? I am afraid they will be ruined soon.
I realized with mine that I tend to push in the middle only-so the middle part was getting flatter. When I have seen my mushed pads I have re-inked them liberally and they have evened out. I also make sure any threads aren't hanging off the sides-they make the pad dry out more quickly.

You'll start to develop a pit in the middle of your pads if that's the only part you ever hit when you're inking up. Make sure you vary what part of the surface you use!
I saw on another post where a demonstrator mentioned always teaching her workshop participants to "march" the stamp across the ink pad. This puts equal wear on the edges as well as the middle so it doesn't get that "pit" in the middle.
