Is this Legal?
Hi Folks!
Just a quick question that I have been meaning to ask for quite a while.
Is is "Legal?" ie: with SCS rules to post that you know of a crafty site that has a sale on and then name it?
The same thing with discount codes....Are you allowed to post them too?
It seems that many of us are more discerning what we spend our hard earned pennies on due to the current economic climate so I though that any little bit of money saved would be a help.
I have seen several places lately that have had or are having promotions and thought how great it would be to share the info with my SCS crafting Sisterhood but did'nt want to do anything not allowed!
One final thing.....If it IS allowed where would I post it? Here in the general stamping forum or elsewhere?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer x

I've seen many posts about sales at stores; coupons available, and sales at online sites.
They must be allowed because I've never seen one disappear suddenly.
Announcement section is good; but I hardly ever go there myself.
If it's a general "store-wide" sale at someplace that sells all kinds of crafting supplies I'd say put it in General Stamping. Probably will be seen by the most people.
If it's a specific sale on a tool like a Big Shot, I'd say post it in Tool and Product Talk thread. Just my two cents...:-)

As long as you are not affiliated in any way with that store, you would be fine. But if you are a design team member, let's say, then that becomes more like advertising than a friendly shout out, kwim?
True enabling just for the sake of helping us spend our money, though, lol...well who doesn't like to find new ways to spend our money!?

I know ebay links are not allowed though. Just thought I could mention this.

Hi Ladies!
Thanks so much for all your kind replies! No I am not affiliated to anyone or a design team member for anything, just a regular crafter who loves to save money in order to buy yet more!
I figured that would be the case with ebay so thanks for the confirmation!
A couple of offers that I did know about are now finished but I found one today via my cardmaking mag - I am a subscriber but apparently the code will work for anyone!
It is with a company called Banana Frog here in the UK and they are offering 15% off until 18th Oct 2010. They also have a big sale on with items reduced from 70%, 60%, 50% etc (you get the idea!) and this does include stamps and papers.
The code to use at checkout is PIX15.
I know 15% aint much but at the very least it would pay for the postage. I am always scouring the net for bargains so as soon as I find another one I will post it.
Even if just ONE of us saves a bit, it's better in our pockets eh?!!
Thanks again everyone & have a crafty day x
