I don't think she looks horrible at all. I hope I'm in that good of shape when I'm her age.
I'm excited to see what her scrapbooking stuff will be.

Not a Martha fan here, but in her defense, several years ago, I flew from the east coast to Los Angelas, and after several weather delays and baggage delays, arrived much later than planned. I have pics of me the day after while I was at a conference, I look pretty rough....

I guess I'm just so used to her TV persona, the "well rested, well made up" Martha...

Martha started in Key Biscayne Florida with a Women's Conference and then to Naples Florida to the wine festival and then on to the CHA and then to a city in California where they are building the KB Homes by Martha. That is quite a schedule for a weekend, but I really doubt that Martha flies commercial.

All that travel and on your feet.........wish I could look that GOOD! Interesting to know that she has a line of papers coming out. Should be good. She does have a flare.

I think she looks pretty good. It's not the most flattering picture I've ever seen, but hey, it doesn't look like she's being followed around by a TV camera, so it's probably her "casual, non-made-up" self.

Maybe this is how she really looks. You know, before spending hours with a stylist ! I've never EVER liked a profile shot of myself...

Money or no money it would suck .... lets say you get up some morning and go get groceries...next thing you know the next day you're on the front page of the paper picking out soup, and in the editorials everyone is saying how terrible you look.
Famous or not I think it's rotten that people have to immediately focus on a persons looks. JMHO.

Considering the fact that she was at such an event, with media and other personalities from her genre, I find it amazing that she DIDN'T spend some time with a stylist. I was shocked that she wasn't "dolled up" like she normally is on her show or other public appearances... Sorry if that seems rotten to you. I was just shocked at seeing her like that... not her normal mode at all!

OK, I've looked at this picture several times now, and I just CANNOT make out Martha Stewart! Even if she were tired and makeup-less, you'd think I'd be able to see at least a resemblance, lol! Just can't see it...

I was standing right next to her. Believe me it is her! It is funny how people look different in person than they do on tv.

haha. It is definitely her. Maybe it is the profile pic that is throwing you off. I think someone else might have a frontal picture. It was hard to take any since her entourage keep telling everyone to not take pictures and were standing in front of people's cameras.

Yep it's her! That was my camera, but Jen (JJStamper) actually took that one I think. We were in the My Mind's Eye booth admiring the yummy new paper when Martha and her entourage swooped in and shoved aside one of our friends so Martha could get to that rack to look. I have been somewhat of a fan of hers, but I certainly wasn't impressed. She was wearing leggings and overall just didn't look that good and gave off a very negative vibe.

I wish I had taken more pics in that booth. Honestly the show overall was sooooo overwhelming that I took way fewer pictures than I could/should have. Something to see at every turn. I could have taken hundreds of pics really, but I spent most of my time oohing and aahing and drooling!

It surprised my how sloppy she looked. Most of the Exhibitors and Retailers were nicely dressed and very trendy. I couldn't believe she was walking around in leggings.
Carol Duvall and Lisa Bearnson were both nicely dressed and were very nice. I got a chance to speak with both of them, and they both took the time to really talk to people. I thought it was funny that they both had to wear badges just like everyone else! They were very down to earth. I didn't get to see Martha up close. Was she wearing one too?

Hey Michelle - it was fun hanging out with you! I would have traded Martha for Carol any day! *jealous* You know I don't remember if she had a badge or not..maybe one of the other girls noticed.

I think she looks good. I would love to be able to do all of the traveling that she does and all the work that she does and still look good. Isn't she in her 60's now? I am a Martha fan. I can't wait to see her scrapbooking line. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I just love Martha... I think that I would of died if I saw her. She did look fine I thougt ~ but yes, she did not go thru the make up that she does for the show. That's ok. With her schedule I'm sure that a break in the "routine" is well deserved.
Did I hear a line of Martha products??? Ohhhhh... I cant wait...

I was lucky enough to have lunch with Lisa Bearnson about three years ago in Salt Lake City - she was just a doll. There were 12 of us at lunch - all scrappers - and she fit in like she'd known us all her life. She was delightful!

LOL! I have to say that there are 2 threads merged here so my comments are not in their original context, but whatever.
While my initial reaction to seeing her was one of excitement that quickly waned with the very negative feeling coming from her and her entourage. It was a "had to be there" kind of thing, but pretty much everyone I was with agreed. There was a definite feeling of "make way for the Queen!" LOL!
We ate lunch with a gal who attended the keynote address by Martha and she said the speech was pretty much just hyping her new line of product which was not available for viewing when we were there. We heard rumor that it was for VIP's only.
I have certainly been a Martha fan, but I'm just calling it like I saw it.

Even before her little scandal I pretty much had the impression you got in person... I personally think she's an ugly person, on the INSIDE.... I was just flabbergasted to see her actually look the part on the outside as well.
I've known some truly beautiful people who would never win a beauty contest, and some beauty queens who were the true definition of ugly... 'nuff said....

Maybe she didn't realize she didn't look as good as what she normally does on T.V. Like have you ever put something on and thought you looked great and then caught a glimpse of yourself in a mirror at the mall and thought WHO IS THAT, cause I know I looked better then that when I left this morning! lol
I kinda get the impression that Martha is not necessarily a people person, but I do like her stuff and her ideas and can't wait to see her new line.
