I used the demo locater in my area and sent out an email to find out if any of them offered a Stamper's 10 class or something similar. Here is one reply that I received:
"This is something that I offer and we are currently right in the middle of the group."
That was the entire message. I need your opinions on what to do now. Is she not interested in obtaining a new customer? She was the only one that responded that she offers a group. Should I just forget about it or email her back asking for more info and to let me know if she has any openings? I'm very disappointed that I cannot find a Stamper's 10 group here to be in. I might have to sign up and start my own!!!

I think it means she's in the middle of a group right now and can't add anyone without messing up her system. When the group is over, she'll probably start another one, so I'd e-mail her again, ask when she's starting her next group and tell her you'd like to be in it!
That was a pretty rude response, in my opinion. She could have explained herself a little more. You are obviously interested in becoming her customer, so she should have done a little more to solicit your business, i.e., let you know that she was in the middle of the schedule, but she would let you know if she has workshops or when she starts another club. She could have at least said to contact her if you are interested in placing an order.
As a customer, that would have totally put me off. I would see if there are other options out there. If there aren't and you really want to join, then email her again to let her know you want to join. Some people just don't 'get it' and need someone to spell it out for them. The group I'm in is constantly evolving. We ask that those who join commit through the end of our year but we don't prevent anyone from joining throughout the year. Just means more benefits for us all when it's our turn to hostess. Of course, the bigger the group is, the longer it takes for our turn.

I would have been upset with this response and would attempt to find a different demo (Or sign up and do your own)
Where are you located - just out of curiosity

I was very put off by her response, but I it seems this is the only person on the list that has a stamp group. Since there are minimums to get to be listed on the locator, would someone with a group not be listed?
It's possible. There could be demos trying to start up that might not be listed yet. Or, there could be TONS of demos, but the demo locator only throws up the 5 closest to you. You could try starting a new thread here asking for a Tulsa demo to contact you, or you could try calling 1-800-STAMPUP and ask for more of a list (I'm not positive they can do that but it's worth a shot I guess, lol).
I have to say, the demo that replied to you sounds like she could be a little more on the ball, lol. It seems like she could have at least said, she'd contact you when she was starting another group!
If you have a friend or relative that lives relatively close to you, but in another city or zip code, try using that address in the demo locator. You'll get a completely different list of demos but they are still located close to you. That is how I found my demo and I'm so happy with her.

I agree, you could try this. Or call Stampin Up and just tell them the five on the list didn't have what you were looking for.
As a demo myself, I would never send an email like that to someone looking to be in a group. She could have elaborated a little more (or a lot more)! I'd keep looking if I were you. Good luck!
Wow! That sure was a short, curt answer! She could have at least offered to put you on the list in case someone dropped out, or that she would contact you when the next group started. Geesh....
