Default mailing/postage question

I'm buying a couple of items from someone on the forum here... and she is having trouble getting a postage/label to print out. I take it, it's like an Ebay label that would include postage. Items are in a bubble envelope, under 2 oz. (1 EF and 2 small clear or cling stamps). It will only let her do priority or a first class letter. Has something changed or can someone who uses that system explain how she might print a label with the proper postage? (She has been able to print first class postage for bubble envelopes in the past). If need be, I can take an envelope up to the PO with like items in it and see about a postage rate. Has the PO changed where you can only print from home a label for priority or a first class letter. MUST one take a bubble envy up to the PO in person now? Thanks in advance. ~ Mary

USPS has changed their Click n Ship options for purchasing postage online, yes. While you used to be able to buy and print for any service option, now you can only purchase Priority service. You can find out the price, though, of other options at least. So no need to make a trip to the PO to find out postage cost.

Thank you! I only mail to family and take it to the PO so I didn't know how to answer her when she asked if I knew. I tried the USPS website and just went round and round and gave up. If I can find the time, do have some embossed paper I'm sending to my cousin... I could ask for a rate on the other when I take that up.

Again, appreciate you replying! SCS people are the BEST.

Is she using Paypal, or not? I have found using www.paypal.com/shipnow you can choose from several shipping options and ship to anyone (doesn't have to be someone that paid you via Paypal). Of course, you need a postage scale to weigh your item.

Being that it is a small package...if she knows how much she needs, she should be able to use regular stamps to cover it but that only works if she has a range of values to build with. I do just b/c I mail to Canada and England so I have dollar ones in the house, and some smaller than forever values.
