Many on the board have suggested donating them to a preschool, burning them in an outdoor fireplace or selling them on ebay or craigslist. It is amazing how much extra room you aquire in your stamping area when you go unmounted! I gave mine to a friend for her daughter to play with.
I gave a box to a fellow stamper, and I gave some more to another stamper - both of these use them for when they cut apart a stamp, or when they get a double-mounted set (that they don't double-mount). (I also give them the plastic clamshell boxes the stamp sets come in).
I also gave some blocks to a little girl for miniature desks and tables in her dollhouses...
My friend uses freecycle all the time. They are great. If you prefer not to deal with strangers then donate them. I am sure a local preschool or maybe an elementary school would love them.
