Anybody have one of these? It's on sale at Michaels and was wondering if it works well. I've got a real large sewing machine (I use for real sewing like drapes, etc) but it's a pain to drag out of it's storage just to embelish a card here and there. Thanks!

I don't want to be negative, but...waste of money. Save up and get a real sewing machine. Maybe I can't use the one that I had (just sold it on eBay), but the thread would always get tangled up and it didn't like CS very much. Maybe there are other stampers with a better report. Sorry. :(
That't the one in the little yellow box, right? I got one for Christmas and have used it twice. both times it worked great... BUT I have not tried to rethread it or anything so,..... I thought it looked nice, though... used it on this card
I bought one, and just tried it on some scrap pieces of cs... I HATED it... it ate up the paper, and the thread kept getting tangled... I have a big sewing machine too, and it's totally worth the effort to drag it out if I want to sew on cards.

Took forever for me to figure out how to use it right without having the stitching fall out, but I can do it easily now and use it for SMALL (can't be too big or doesn't fit in machine- no bigger then like 6x6) projects
If this is the Provo Craft one....I bought one at Robert's crafts and it worked terrible and I returned it and the cashier said they are junk and have had a lot of returns!! FYI....
I bought mine (Provo) on clearance for $4.00. It was worth that. I like the fact that it can sit in my small work space without me having to haul out my big one. Since it runs on batteries I take it with me on trips. Yes, I have sewn on cards while traveling (not driving) and use it while visiting in-laws. It does take some practice, but I appreciate mine. ;)
