Default M&M Skinny Treat Bags

Hello Everyone! I am wanting to make some of the super cute M&M treat bags for my daughters birthday party but I cant find the post that says what size the bags are. I know they are skinny and from clearbags.com but I dont know much more than that. I was thinking 1/8 of an inch, so I tried searching that and nothing came up. Does anyone know the dimensions or even better, the link to where they are? Thanks everyone!

Default 1x8 bags

I believe they are. There should be a description on the bag listing itself- but I'm pretty sure they are.

Use one of the little clear elastic rubberbands for hair to close them. The seals don't always work well.

I get mine from GT bags and they don't always seal very well, so I put my stamped piece over the seal with another piece of adhesive. GT bags has fast shipping and they send samples of other baggies with your order.

I buy mine at M's. They are called pretzel bags and are on the candy-making aisle. Their intended purpose is for chocolate-dipped/decorated pretzel sticks (not pretzel shape like you usually think of a pretzel looking like). Instant gratification, and I can use a coupon.

Mine have the flap, but sometimes I use a little double-sided to make sure it's going to hold, especially since they are usually going into the hands of children.

A|MUSE Studio sells them for 50 bags for $4.50 (before tax and shipping)

Stampin' Up! has 50 bags for $2.50 (before tax and shipping)

GT Bag has 100 for $4 (before tax and shipping)

Clear Bags has 100 for $5 (before tax and shipping)

The Pretzel bags are the WRONG size. Those are for the york peppermint patty treats which I have made and bought at M's ,who do not carry this bag for the M& M's.
When I was looking for the 1x8 the posters here recommended Clear Bags . I ordered and got very fast delivery as well as I did not have to order a minimum. There was also another recommendation besides Su and I amsure someone will be along posting it.

I suppose it's possible that there are more than one size pretzel bags. Mine are the right size and have worked just find ror me. And, yes, they came from Michael's.

Pretzel bags are 2 x 8. The M & Ms treat bags are 1 x 8. The craft stores do not sell the 1 x 8 bags.

I'm pleased that SU is now carrying them since I need some more. The shipping and handling from the online places can get rather expensive. I use my son's rubber bands (new ones!) from his braces to close up the bags. They are the perfect size!

If I sold some of the M&M sticks at my upcoming craft show, how much should I sell them for?

I find, at least in the Pac NW, that folks want to pay a few bucks (at most!) for items at a craft show. It seems, with rare exception, that if an item is more spendy than, say, $5, people will look at it, think (or say) "I can make that myself!" and either take a picture or study it closely so they can duplicate it at home. Items that sell are a few bucks or less. Generally. Good luck!

I also would like to know what you all charge for the skinny bags of M & M's at craft shows.

My CTMH demo told me they are called lipstick bags for the really skinny ones. I have no idea why that term was used. My guess would be a pencil.

Don't try to "stuff" them M&Ms all the way down. Just keep sticking each M&M in the top and let the next one you put in the bag do the work!

Take a half sheet of plain typing paper and roll it up into a little "funnel" with an opening at the bottom just large enough to stick into the top of a bag. Put a piece of tape on the funnel so that it will stay in the right shape.

To fill the bags, put your funnel into the top. Drop one or two M&Ms in. Fiddle with them a bit to get them to stack properly in the bottom of the bag. Once you've got the first two in there straight, you can use the funnel to drop the others in pretty fast. Your funnel will eventually get too messed up to use. Just discard it and make another.
