Default LuminArte Keeping Doors Open!

I thought y'all might like to see what I just got in my e-mail box:

From the Desk of Leslie Ohnstad
Thank you for your generosity, kind words of encouragement and prayers.

The very unexpected out cry of orders in the past months"globally" has been extremely overwhelming and personally for me a truly humbling experience.

The tiny staff of Luminarte Inc. was fully prepared to close at the end of February. Here it is almost the end of May and we are still working hard to fulfill all your requests.

I have made the decision that we will not be closing our doors. Your testimonials have touched the hearts of those in our business that, in turn, have made it possible for us to continue to serve you.

Thank you so much for caring enough to keep LuminArte's buzz going - positive and alive!

Restructuring may take a little while, but it'll be well worth the wait. Soon, we'll be featuring a vibrant new website showcasing new products and project ideas.

You'll be hearing from us with updates on our fresh and exciting changes.

Dreaming In Color,

Leslie Blackburn Ohnstad
President / Inventor

Wow, that is great! Even though I did not place an order (I wanted to, but I would have not be able to limit myself on all their beautiful colors), it is inspiring that a company about to close can be brought back by the customers.

Good, for them!

Oh, Patter! Thank you for sharing that news!

I have been thinking of them and how it was such a shame and such a loss to the industry they were closing--I had purchased 3 sets of Twinkling H2O's a while back--the product is a great one, and obviously loved and used by so many stampers.

I don't know them personally or anything, but it just warms my heart that they have received so much support from customers that they WILL BE ABLE to remain in business.

It is inspiring, and I hope this news offers encouragement to other struggling small businesses like them.

HURRAY!!!

Great news! I love Twinks and was so disappointed when I heard they were closing, now I can build my collection slowly instead of having to buy everything all at once.

Thanks for sharing the fabulous news. I'm so glad that they'll stay in business and will continue to develop new products and support the older ones.

I just read my email about this - very happy to hear that at least one business won't have to close it's doors in this economy. Now, back to waiting for my orders to arrive!

THIS HAS JUST MADE MY DAY!!!! Thanks so much for sharing this fabulous news! I use my Twinks on almost every card I create and when I saw the notice of their closing I almost burst into tears (at my office, where I wasn't supposed to be on the internet in the 1st place). I'm a happy stamper now!

I ordered more than I should have during the 40% off sale. I hope they don't have trouble because we all went crazy when we thought they were closing and now none of us will need Twinks for the next year! I haven't received mine yet and am really looking forward to their arrival! I'm glad they're not closing!

What a cool story!

Now for my question - what are twinkling H2Os? I guess I could google LuminArte and find out but I thought I'd ask first. TIA.

Twinkling H2Os are little pots of watercolor paints infused with shine and sparkle. They are super easy to use and their effect is FABULOUS! They come in about 140 colors and are wonderful!

Here's a card of mine where the shine really showed up in the picture:

Thanks for the explanation. And the card - that is beautiful. I'm going to need to look into these a bit more - wondering how hard it would be for me to create something that looks that good - I'm not very artistic.

Believe me, Julie, you don't need to be artistic to use them! If I can use them, anyone can. I've slowly been building up a selection over the last three years now, and love them. Mind you, I think it would be a rare person who needs the entire colour range, I know I don't. As well as for colouring, they make a great shimmery wash background - very hard to photograph well.
