Question How to unmount SU jumbo wheels

Hi chickadees, I know all the smart ladies on here can help me do this, I'm sure someone else has to have done it before.

I love some of the SU wheels, but am not a fan of rolling because of uneven ink distribution and not getting it straight, etc.

so, i have a couple of wheels i want to just unmount and use as regular bare rubber stamps with a giant block.

my question is, how do you unmount a wheel without ruining the rubber stamp portion?

advice is greatly appreciated. thanks ladies!

Use craft knife, cut carefully at seam (there should be some glue goo at the seam). Separate rubber from wheel. It should come right off. Very easy. You'll love using it unmounted!

I want to do this. I bought the "In Stitches" wheel from the mini this round so I could cut it apart and use the different stitches as borders. However, what do I do after I unmount and cut them apart? I've heard of EZ Mount, but what does this do? I have acrylic blocks. Does EZ Mount allow me to cling a rubber stamp to a block? Thanks.

Yes, that's exactly what EZ Mount does. Or you could use a glue like Aleene's Tack it Over and Over - it depends really on whether you want the extra cushion from the foam or are happy to use the bare rubber.
