Default Looking for a tool or template.

Not sure if something like this even exists but I'm sure one of you ladies would know.

I trying to find something that would maybe look like a plastic ruler with little holes in it to use as a punch template. When I'm punching my cards to look like faux stitching the holes are straight and evenly spaced.

Does this make sense? Does something like this exist? Can you tell me who makes one?

Thanks to all.

I think a lot of people just go buy a .32 cent sheet of that plastic canvas and use those holes as guides for poking holes, placing eyelets, etc.

Stampin' Up! has a paper piercing guide included in their crafters tool kit. It is a plastic square with guide holes for eyelets and paper piercing. It also has a small self healing mat for eyelet setting and a foam pad for piercing so you don't poke up your table . HTH

That's exactly what I'm looking for except I don't need the whole kit.

Thanks. At least I know it exists.

SU's Mat Pack with the paper piercing template is only $9.95 for the template, piercing pad and setting mat. Not a bad price, HTH

I've laid my metal ruler (with the cork backing so it doesn't slip) on the paper and used it as a guide to poke holes. I like the plastic canvas idea! I guess you could cut those down to your usual mat sizes and go to town!!

C-Thru makes the Zero Hero Ruler. It has little holes at the 1/4" marks. I have used it for Faux Stitching, but I really prefer the Plastic Canvas. HTH

I think Timeless Touches has what you are looking for. The link I provided is to their 12" Eyelet Friend template. Click on a link to the left of the page on the other Eyelet Friend templates. I have the 1/8" Eyelet Friend and find it very useful for setting eyelets that are evenly spaced.

My favorite tool is a Stitching Guide from Lasting Impressions:

I use it for both fake and real stitching. It's super easy and I use it a ton.

I think that would work way better than the product I linked to. My mind only focused on the holes... not the fact that it was for stitching.

I might have to get that... Thanks!

This, I'm sure, is exactly what you are looking for. Look for the free shipping codes at JoAnns and it's so inexpensive. That's how I did it! Good luck!
