looking for idea's!

My sister-in-law wrote and performs a play and has taken it across the country (Canada) as well as in some locations in the US and is in need of some thank you cards. The play is about a veteran that had served in both World Wars and it's purpose is to continue to raise awareness and knowledge of the gifts these people have given and the wars that they have fought in. Anyways, all that to say: she wants 25 cards (for now) that have a sort of "remembrance/veterans" day feeling to them that she can give to the veterans she meets and interviews through her play. She did say that she doesn't want it to be military at all. So, no flags, no medals, nothing overwhelmingly patriotic -- more about the poppies, etc. Anyone have any ideas to share?

Thanks!

Lovely poppie card, but really the poppie thing is kinda morbid IMHO.
The beaches or Verdun and Normandie and still morbid and still obviously scared 90 years later, I can only imagine the way they looked during the war.

thanks, but that doesn't really help me at all ... my SIL specifically requested the poppy-look as that is what she has heard the most positive feedback on.
