Ok, I have the list of retiring sets and I'm trying to view them on a TAc angel's site, but is there a better way? Can I search for individual sets somehow? Currently I'm just scrolling through the stamp sets, and if I like one, trying to see if it's on the list. Surely there's an easier way.
Just looked on line at the TAC website, but was unable to locate the 2005-06 catalog, can only find the current one.....is there a way to view this online....since I don't have a 05-06 catalog, only the current one. TIA, Linda
If you go to www.theangelcompany.net and click on Shop Now you can put in your zip code and find an angel in your area that has a website. You can see all the stamps from the 2005-2006 and the 2006-2007 catalogues.

Sandy - Thanks for posting the retired list (I would have never known about it otherwise!). Off to check my catty to see if there is something I can't live without
Well I must be really stupid or computer challenged, but 6-7 TAC angels in my area search all only have the 06-07catalog for display. Or is it that the retired items can be seen in this current catalog also? Or am I just striking out picking a TAC angel with both catalogs on line?(05-06 and 06-07). TIA Linda
The site was down for awhile (it must've gotten overloaded with activity!) and, you will only see the 06/07 catalog online (plus many of the stamp sets from the 05/06 catalog BUT not all!). We were never allowed to put the 05/06 catalog online and that's why none of the angels/demos have them posted.

For those saying only the current catalog is up- right now the website has current and old catalog stamps all mixed together- it really isn't user friendly browsing, but now that we have the list by category, it does make easier to find these.
Note about the Jelly Bean Prayer- there are 2 of them, and the old one is retiring. The same verse is on the new one- but with an updated look.
Also- if you have boys, you have to take advantage of the retiring discount- SO many of the sets are sports/masculine!

You might what to look at The Angel company
(Buy it now) area and look for a demo in your area.
And ask them if they have any 05-06 Catalog that you can purchase.
I don't know if TAC is coming out with Picture's of what retiring or not. But now that you have a list you can look online to see what the stamp set's look like.

So now that I've had a chance to really read this thread and flip through my book, I realize that the list is for 05-06, and my book is 06-07. But the expiring date for that list is by the end of 2006...so I can still get some of those sets even though they aren't in the 06-07 book? How very confusing
So, I'm looking at an online catalog and comparing what is in my paper catalog and the retired list and there are things that are not on the retiring list, but also not in my 06-07 book...so what are they? And why buy a catalog (besides the samples) if all the current stamps aren't in the book?
I know I'm one confused puppy....someone explain it. Thanks!
When you look at an angels website you will see all stamps from the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 catalogues. Yes there are stamps in the 2005-2006 catalogue that are not on the retirement list, and they will still be available. That's what you are seeing is not on the retirement list and not in your 2006-2007 catalogue. TAC has been asked so many times to produce a stamp set that has been retired, and because catalogue space is so valuable, they have decided to continue making some stamps that are not in the current catalogue. I love that TAC has expanded it's catalog to keep some great stamp sets still available...that was so important this year when the new catalog came out and alot of folks "discovered" TAC.
But, a catalog in hand is great for the examples, thumbing through while you wait for your kids' practice to be over, and as you are winding down at night in bed or in front of the TV! ;) And, you get to see them at actual size!!
I only have last years catalog, and I went to check the new one out online. o I'm curious, are there not very many new stamp sets, since they kept last years? Or am I looking at the wrong catalog? Thanks for any help.
