Default looking to donate cards to soldiers

I have been making a lot of cards and would like to donate cards to soldiers for their personal use (to send home to family and friends). I know I've seen an address along with directions for these donations, but can't seem to find the info now that I need it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have googled donations several times, but just can't find an address to send my cards to. I did find one that said no envelopes, and another site said people are forgetting to send envelopes - and have no idea how I found those original sites last month. Any help will be greatly appreciated...(I probably have over 100 to donate at this time). Thanks to all !

Mac

If you google "handmade cards for troops" you will get a lot of choices.

I used to follow Operation Write Home by Sandy Allnock but she stopped with the big return of the troops after having sent out 2.5 MILLION cards over...8 years was it? Remarkable effort-she also did tutorials and sketches for people.
Scrapbooking for Less does a collection every year and gives away good prizes too. I think towards the end of the year?

There is a forum here on SCS called Cards for a Cause. Perhaps it would have what you are looking for or you could find a different cause for your cards.

See it here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Hope this helps.

Blessings to you for donating your cards!

Heart Operation gratitude

Google Operation Gratitude and you will find an address there for all kinds of donations. Not only cards but scarfs, mittens books etc. It's also tax deductible if that's important to you.

Charly Matthews co-ordinates Cards for Soldiers and sends out hundreds of cards every week to soldiers all over the world. Cardmakers from all over the country send then to her and she distributes them. It's a wonderful volunteer program and the thank you cards Charly and others receive from soldiers who have received our cards is very heart warming. Follow the link YvettesArts included and Charly will be more than happy to include you in our volunteer effort.
