OK I have come to this conclusion: Asking if we should buy a scrapping item on this website is akin to asking the Pope if he is Catholic. Duhhh. We are all addicts! Which one of us would say, 'no, don't spend your money that way?' It reminds me of my list of friends that I call when I need advice such as: DH hates cats and I found an adorable orange kitten I wanted SOOO badly, did I call DH? No! I called my friend Deborah who has about 6 cats! When I want to go to Sees candy shop, do I ask my thin friends? No! I ask my ummm, other friends. You get the point, right? Anyway, just thought I would start asking: What do you like/dis-like about a certain item? Oh, by the way, I got the orange kitty! Hubby still doesn't like her but I do!!! Along with all my stamping/scrapping stuff that you enablers have 'FORCED' me to buy. I am so totally the victim here!!! Feel sorry for me? Tee hee Just having some fun because I am staring at a very dirty kitchen and know that when I finish online I will have to get to work. Thanks for helping me escape! :-)

You are totally right! But don't you feel validated when everybody comes back and says, "Buy it!" As for the kitchen....nothing gets me more irritated than a filthy kitchen, so my vote is to clean it and then reward yourself by buying something.
There have been a few times when I've asked should I buy THIS or THAT and received really good answers to guide my decision. But you're right, the answer to "Should I buy this?" is ALWAYS yes on this site!!!
I love jumping into those threads and saying "of course, you should buy it, because of this and that" Because of course, I probably already bought it myself, due to an earlier thread stating the virtues of some particular tool or embellie!
OK FINE!!!!! If that's how you girls wanna play this game-I'm in. I'm going to go clean my kitchen. But promise me that my MR CLEAN will walk in with the check book and tell me to go buy myself some reward. Come on, now, promise! I mean, I would hate to do all that cleaning for......what? More dirty dishes in an hour? Ah, forget it. I'm gonna go make some cards. The kitchen will still be there tomorrow. Then after stamping a few cards I'm off to play with my little orange kitty!
Hello.....and my name is Jill and I have a problem...... :-)

once in a blue moon someone will give you a negative review of the product you want to purchase (ex. no breakable MS punches for me). But, yes, typically we will all enable you...hey, just tell the hubby you're helping the economy, one stamp at a time!

Is that wine before dinner or after? Or whine while looking pitiful? Not sure if it would work, he'd probably say, 'you seemed stressed, why don't you go take a nap?' That's no fun!
Orange kitty? Her name is Xela, pronounced Shay la. There was a little girl who's mom tutored my son in Spanish years ago and she was so blasted cute I always remembered the name. Tried to get some of my older kids to use the name for their babies but they wouldn't so the kitty was a MUST just so I could use the name. Even though DH doesn't like the cat I bet he would prefer it over having another baby so I could use the name!!!! Strange thing is, after so many years that same son, his wife, baby and DH and me went into a local pizza place and the waitress introduced herself as Xela! It was the same girl!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA...well for me, I already KNOW I'm going to get whatever it is I'm asking about...I just ask around here so that way when my DH gets all mad at me when he notices something new in my scraproom, I have other people to blame! LOL...
I didn't really WANT to honey...the girls on the board practically MADE me! I was peer pressured! LOL...
I like coming here to ask if I should buy something because everyone provides there input and also places that I should go to to get whatever it is, this way I can do some price comparisons to show DH and he is usually happy with the fact that I am trying to find the least expensive place to get a big priced item. I also like the fact that if someone has had problems with an item they let everyone else know this way the rest of us don't make the same mistake. Thanks for always looking out for the rest of us and feeding our habits. I am proud to say that I am a stamping addict and I do not want to give up my habit anytime soon.
I can't imagine my husband asking a guy what kind of treadmill or sneakers to buy! I think it is a "girl" thing and an "addict" thing.
Ahh, Joan, you should work in my office. Endless discussion among the y-chromosomers about which rifle, which bow, which camera, which rod & reel combo and/or boat etc. they NEED to get to enable them to kill/catch a trophy. And my father? I definitely know where I got my tool fetish from. Son? Lots of internet time discussing exactly what he simply must have for his latest computer build. So it's maybe not so much a "girl" thing - but definitely an "addict" thing.
It was really a variety to add to what I have. I don't have the list with me - but will list tomorrow.
I will say I place my order yesterday and they were shipped and in transit.
They will get to me on friday. I saved almost $13 in free shipping and the sketch are on sale for $3.95 each - a huge bargin!!!!!!!!!!!

This is horrible! No - it's wonderful! Now I know why I have so much *stuff* in my craft room. All those stamps that have never been used. Rolls and rolls of ribbon. Crayons, markers, embossing thingies, CB, Silhouette .... I finding it hard to explain why I have about 20 pads of DP. and now the 15 new new DCWV pads at Joanne's ... *sigh*
I think the only time I have ever asked that question was when I was wondering if the Cuttlebug would do everything the Sizzix did. I wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake.
I did buy a Cuttlebug -- at $35 and decided to keep my Sizzix. My son loves using it, and I still prefer to use my red dies in my Sizzix.
BTW Where are you in MI? I grew up in a suburb of Flint. Got lots of family all over MI still.
I grew up in MI, too. A suburb of Detroit but had lots of friends from Flushing, MI believe it or not. My sister lives in Oak Ridge, TN. SCS is a small world!

WOW..........that's crazy!! I whined pitifully!!! Works on occasion, not always!

I grew up in Mattawan, near Kalamazoo, lived in Allegan for a couple years, Portage, and am now in Three Rivers near Indiana. 27 minutes to the Essenhaus as a matter of fact.........oh I need to get back to that place soon. All you can eat full size dinner Amish style WITH dessert......mouth watering!!!
I KNEW it was not MY fault I spent $100 on Copic markers yesterday!
It's about time you gals took the blame
I second that........my stamping spending has gone WAY up since I joined this site........pretty soon I'll be stamping in the dark when the electric is turned off but that'll be the economy's fault, not mine! Hehe, just kidding. I just happened to talk to them today about why my electric seems higher than last year when I'm not there as often as I was last year. Most wkends when I'd turn the heat up I'm at DBF's.
