Like today...I was attempting to make a card with a music background and an older woman dancing in the foreground. Had the mask cut, used it, printed everything...
Couldn't figure out why I was having such a difficult time getting her in the right place.
Well, like, DUH!
I was printing the background with the mask in place and THEN attempting to insert the woman in the right place--I lost track of the number of pieces of cs I goofed up.
Please, someone tell me they occasionally have erratic brain function where they can't remember how to stamp, how to spell their name or when they were born... PLEASE!
Yes! This happens to me all the time. Just yesterday I was answering some ?'s on the phone (a marketing survey) The lady asked my age... I went blank, I looked at my hubby and mouthed 42 and held up two fingers. He didn't answer so I said I'm 42 to the lady on the phone.... my husband laughed and said oh... your 43!!!!! I didn't tell the lady cause I thought what idiot forgets how old she is! That is only one example of the crazy things I do, I have many many more. Sometimes it quite embarrassing! So far I'm really not liking this 40's thing. My memory is gone and I've replaced it with 10 pounds of fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would take ginko biloba for my memory problems, but I forget it! Dina
Years ago... when I was only 53...... I asked the doctor about some really obvious memory lapses. He told me to try more vitamin B complex. My friends and I all agreed... that might be nice, but when you forget to take your vitamins, how do you remember to take your vitamins??? LOL
I don't know how many times I've done a masking card and screwed it up because I always forget what image needs to be stamped first. I've done a million of these cards and screw up at least one or two each time I do them. You'd think I'd have it figured out by now!
I agree with the 40 thing. I'm 42 (believe it or not, I just had to think about that one again!) and it seems like everything fell apart when I hit 40. I used to blame it on having kids (which still plays a part), but that 40 thing is awful. Can't remember my own name sometimes and there's fat showing up in places I've never had a problem with before eventhough I work out very hard. If someone finds a "cure" for all this, let me know!

OMG!! So nice to hear others having the same lapses in EVERYTHING!!! I agree, that the 40-thing really changes stuff. I am 41, but won't be 42 until the end of the year, in December, but I am always saying that I'm 42, just yesterday DD corrected me!! Whats up with that? I know my Mom used to have to subract her date of birth from the current year to remember her age sometimes, and I used to think, Oh geeeze, I will NEVER get like that...hahaha, I guess it happens to the best of us!! And the bulges here and there, I was so skinny forever, one of those lucky people who could eat anything and not have it show, but not anymore!! I feel and see that milkshake last week....!!!
It used to be that I just heard about DH's day at work but now....its DH, DS who's 20 and DS, who's 18, and then I hear about DD's day at school, she's 12. No wonder I don't remember anything anymore, I just have so much to process in one day. Combine that with the fact that our world is so much smaller because of technology, we are constantly being informed of others strife, problems, happiness etc. So no wonder we have a hard time remembering, there's so much to remember.
I also think when the creative juices are flowing I get ahead of myself, because I am so excited/anxious to see my finished product and make the same type of errors as Rainsong did with her card. Rainsong, I'm sorry your card was difficult, were you able to salvage it??
I was at the bank the other day and the teller asked me for my bank account number and I completely blanked. I couldn't remember it. I have had that account since I was 19 (I'm 25). She laughed and found it by my name. I was walking to the car thinking gosh she probably thinks I'm so dumb!!
Happens to me all the time! I tell people that the trouble is that my brain is full. In order for it to store anything new, something else has to leave, and that little bit of info left yesterday....

That's my line too! I'm a 42 year old university student, and I do well on my school work, but I can't remember anything else. I blame it on full brain syndrome.
I also claim the reason that I can't remember my age is because it changes every year.

I'm 48 and I use the "Full brain syndrome" too, and I honestly believe it. I know we use just a portion of our brains so there should be some extra up there for me to use but somehow it just doesn't happen!

Sometimes I just look at people and say "wait I have to move a few brain files before I can answer that". It is the truth the more we store the more we have the potential to forget. That is my story and I am sticking with it.
