Question How do I do this???

Okay i want to use the riveting "Happy Holiday" stamp, but i don't want the Christmas Tree in the middle. (i am putting them on the envelopes for a christmas card i am making for my work)

You could ink the stamp with your markers instead of an ink pad... then give it a good huff of warm moist breath and stamp it.

Or, you could stamp it as is and punch the centre out with a punch.

I'd suggest using a marker to ink the outside of the stamp. If you were stamping on a card, you could always use the 3/4 inch punch and put a circle of cardstock over it.

I would go with markers! They are so much fun. Plus you can use the thin point end to write out your addresses so that they match!

Make a mask for the center - stamp on the sticky part of a post-it and cut out the part with the tree. Then put the part with the tree down where you want your image, ink up the entire stamp, and stamp your image over the mask. Lift the mask and put it down in the next spot.

i've done a similar scotch tape mask, but it was usually for one or two images. Take a piece of scotch tape and use it to cover the image you don't want to ink. You may have to cut the tape with a scissors to shape. Stamp on your inkpad, then remove the piece of tape. Voila, the ink is gone.

It depends whether you want a hole or not. If you want the hole, stamp the whole thing close to the edge of your card, then use a small round punch (I think it is 1/2") to punch out the tree in the middle, leaving you with the main band. Then cut or punch out the band.
If you don't want the hole, just mask the tree with a tiny piece of post it note!
