ALLE's...That would be wonderful if you could do that for me. I LOVE the look of cards using KSS 3 step stamps. Everytime I use them they come out different. Thanks..
LISA...yes I have seen the tuts on the KSS site.
FYI..I am not the only one confused. I was talking to crafting friends at a class at a LSS and they were confused too.

I'm glad you've visited the User Guide & Tutorial before on the KSS Site, you'd be surprised how many people aren't aware of that or the Color Recipes.
I'll also upload some photos on using the set to see if they help you out.
ALLEE's...that is WONDERFUL..the "x" is exactly what I need...Thank you so much..I'll keep a copy of this...
You are very welcome, Gracie.
Just know that you need to select a focus point that makes sense to you and that some sets are very simple to line up and others may take a closer look. I had to give the daisy a little extra time myself, but now that I have it marked I can hit it every time!

I used a fine tip Sharpie to draw the X and it is drawn on the side that sticks to the block, not on the side you stamp with. Good luck. Can't wait to hear how your daisies turn out!
I also have the hibiscus and the rose on order for KSS. I got stuck on the daisy and never tried the hibiscus. Are some of the other stamps easier than the daisy> Thans!
Gracie, I have found that all of the flowers are easier to stamp if you start with the last layer and end with the first layer. With the darkest color on the paper first, it allows you to clearly see the point you have chosen as your focus.
And yes, some are easier than others. For me the rose, tulips, and pansies are the easiest. The only other set that I have marked the way I did the daisies is the hydrangea. But now that I have them marked, both the daisy and the hydrangea are easy, too.
I started my KSS collection with the rose and it is still one of my favorites.
When your rose arrives, start with Layer 4. See the two gaps I have pointed to with the arrows. Those same gaps appear in Layer 3 and Layer 2. Just lay them one on top of the other. Layer 1 is then very simple to line up with the outline of the blossom.
Okay, I thought we'd be getting some cool details about the group that met during CHA!! Who went, what did you stamp, how fun was it???

We had a great time - it was similar to the M&G we had a Dee's the night before the Georgia Workshop. KSS stamps/paper and ink were set out for everyone to try the KSS images. I think I have a couple photos on my camera, I'm sure Traci & Maria might have more.
Once I get my photos on my computer I'll post them!
Lisa, it sounds like it was fun. Glad you got home okay!!!

Lynn, your tutorials are very useful. I had not noticed those two lines on the roses. Also, your pictures helped me to mark the back of the daisy stamps in the right place. Do you stamp the daisies and roses backwards?
I stamp the middle daisy 2, 1, 3 and the large daisy 3,2,1,4.
Here is a picture of how I have marked the large daisy. I put a dot on the top and an x on the bottom of the first three layers on the back of the stamp.

Lynn, it's great to learn those little tricks and the stamp order!
Does anyone have some color recipes for the mums? I use Tsukineko inks (Memento, Brilliance, versamagic, versafine).

The new challenge issued by Makiko is really great! I am sure I am going to play with my stamps
The samples made by the Kitchen Crew are GREAT!!!!! Wow!!!!
Here are a one Memento recipe I use, Emilia, for the mums in the Harvest set.
Mums:
Layer 2 - Bamboo Leaves
Layer 3 - New Sprout
Layer 4 - Dandelion
Layer 5 - Cantaloupe
Layer 1 - Dandelion inked only on the top half and stamped off once
I think the key to success with the mums is to stamp Layer 1 last and put ink only on the top half of the stamp so that it doesn't muddy the leaves, does that make sense?
Your color charts look awesome!! I wish I were as organized at you and kept better records of my color mixes!

I know this month's already has me breaking out my thinking box. HMMMM
I am kind of jumping in the middle of a discussion - if this has been addressed before, maybe some one will kindly point me in the right direction, or tell me what to search for so I can do it!
I won the baseball (3 step, I think) set a while ago, but have not been able to figure it out. I checked the website and there seem to be tutorials for other sets, but not this one. Can some one give me some pointers? I tried to stamp a baseball glove but it ended up looking like mush LOL!

Congrats on winning that set! Have you tried stamping the images in reverse order? Sometimes it makes it a lot easier to line them up, for the Glove I would stamp #3, #2, #1 then #4. See if that helps.

Dorothy, I love the baseball set. Here is how I stamp the glove. I start with layer 4 and then the ball and laces at the bottom are clearly visible and easy to line up on!
Thanks to Lynn and Lisa for the quick help! I will not have a chance to try it for a couple of days but I certainly will do so. I appreciate the color suggestions as well.
What wonderful, helpful members there are on this site.

You are so welcome, Dorothy!! I hope our suggestions work for you!!
Hi, Lynn! I took your advice on the order of stamping on my brand new lily of the valley stamp. I have to say I could almost smell the fragrance it looked so real. Gorgeous!! I am so excited. Now I have to incorporate the image into a card so I can post it to show you. Many thanks for your PM's and suggestions. Kathy
