Let's make a resolution to COMMENT MORE!
 

I love looking through the gallery and commenting on all the lovely cards I see. I'm here to encourage others to also comment. I'm astounded at the amount of "hits" a card gets when it has few to no comments. I think part of the point of uploading a card is getting feedback from others. You know you love comments, so share the love!

One of my favorite ways to find cards with no comments is at the bottom of the page you can select search by amount of comments - ascending.

Whatever way you do it. Comment on at least 6 cards, then post here. (Please make your comments more than 2 words - something meaningful!)

Once you post here the next person in line can start first by looking at your gallery to give a comment, then comment on 5 others!

Sure! I just did my first challenge and am very very pleased by all the people that took time to comment. I always make sure to go to their blog or gallery and find something I like to comment on when I get one!

If you want more comments, try a challenge!

I found some fantastic cards from 3 days ago that have ZERO comments.

I did it, too. Couldn't stop at just six. Too much gorgeousness.

Oh - I just did this and had gone to Trish's gallery for my last comment - but I'll hop along to yours to, Judi.
I didn't count the Teapot Tuesday comments, because I try to comment on all those anyway. I visited a gallery newbie who just started her gallery today along my way.

I'm in... didn't stop at six. Will likely do some more tonight, too.

Ahhhh this is an ongoing issue. Lots of hits, very few comments. It's kind of discouraging. Like, why bother? But I keep uploading stuff and when people do take the time to leave a comment, I return the favour by taking the time to send a PM to thank them. To me, it's just the right thing to do.

I will definately be making a greater effort to leave comments. In fact, I'm inspired to go share some love right now! LOL Thanks!

i will comment more as well.....so many pretties out there. i'll visit all the galleries of above posters now.

i rarely get comments....i read somewhere that if you dont mention the stamp etc you wont get comments.

unfortunately i have unmounted lots of wood back stamps and now have no recollection of the company. same goes for paper...i rarely remember if i am using pieces already cut.

I think this thread is great Trish. I am like you....I always try and comment on the zero comment cards because there are SO MANY LOVELIES in the gallery that just get missed due to the sheer number of cards uploaded each day.
I found more then 7 easily.....happy searching.....You will make someone's day brighter!!

Well I can say that Trish and mugsy both made my day brighter! Trish used up all her 6 just in my gallery alone! LOL Thanks so much to both of you for your thoughtful remarks. I feel all warm and fuzzy now LOL

I'm off to start working my way through previous posters galleries here.

Sounds like a great idea! I definitely think everyone should comment more. I have been lately. Recently I have gotten 2 PMs thanking me for comments on their cards. I would much rather have them make comments on my cards than sending a thank you PM!

I love to comment on items that don't have any comments; I often search them out when I'm browsing in galleries. I visited Amanda's gallery and five or six others. Found some great cards and projects!

Anyone want to join me this Friday evening and spread some joy with comments!

If you click on the person's name in the little gray box above where it shows how many posts they have you'll get a little list of items, one of them (I just looked and already forgot which one exactly) is that person's gallery.

Thanks, Trish, for telling me how to find the -0- comment cards. I found some lovely cards this evening that deserved some recognition. One thing I noticed is that several of them had no keywords listed in their description, which might be a reason for lack of comments.

Thanks Trish for starting this....I did my 6 comments this a.m. using your tip for finding "no comment cards." It was easy! I can do this....and you all can too. Karen, I recognize your name from the CAS weekly favorites lists...I commend you for always looking at the positive, as well.

I would think, if you put a card in your FAVORITES that you should let the designer know you did so, and why you did it.

Thanks you all for the inspiration, and I will try to do at least 6 comments a day (hopefully more). We all like to receive positive reinforcement (can you tell my job?) for a project well done.

The way I do this is on the HOME page...

Midway down the page is MOST RECENT GALLERY ADDITIONS - click on to see today's additions.

Scroll to the VERY bottom of the page! You will see a bunch of boxes that you can click on.

I do...
Sort by - # of comments
Timeframe - last 3 days (you can choose any timeframe)
Order - Ascending - this way you see the cards with 0 comments first going up to the cards with the most comments.

Hope that helps!

I believe you can also sort ANY gallery by changing those boxes at the bottom of the page.


It doesn't really matter how you find cards to comment on, I'm just hoping that we all put some extra special efforts in to make our fellow crafters smile!

Okay Trish, I did that and it worked. Thanks for the help and the nice comments you left on my cards. I have done 6 comments today too. Actually more! :D

I've been spending some time in the gallery visiting non-challenge cards, just off to Roxane to finish off.

Hi All...I made 10 comments this early a.m. How about you?

There are so many cards/projects in the Gallery that get no comments. I know you like some of them.

Especially if I favorite a card....I really want to let that person know that I chose their card for a special reason, and then I try to tell them why.

This is very similar to the comment thread I started a few years ago. I left my 6 comments. :)

I think this is a great thread, Trish! I never knew about the little search engine tip at the bottom of the gallery either. I just left some comments on some great projects that caught my eye and will definately be doing it more often. It's terrible to see cards that have hundreds of views and ZERO comments. There is so much awesome talent here, I am inspired every day! :)
