This site has so much terrific info, I love it!!! But I am so overwhelmed!
I have embossed (love it, so easy with beautiful results) and I can do eyelets and brads. I'm looking for new techniques. What are some easy ones with which to start? What is your one go-to technique? (You can just list the technique and I'll do a search for it)

Hmm, do I have t olist just one? I am currently on an altering kick. I will alter tins, lucnhboxes, clip boards, canning jars, anything I can get my grubby mits on! I love Hodgepodge Hardware, ribbon (especially dying the gingham ribbon) and fibers (and dying the twill tape-beautiful!). I am also using my craft ink more and more. My most recently tried technique that I fell in love with is cracked glass. It's so much fun! It takes a little practice (and make SURE you're using a good quality embossing powder) but once you get it down...BAM! You'll love it!
A good place to start is inthe tutorials section. Just start at the top and work your way down!

I made a little gallery!
Another great way to try out techniques is to check out the Technique Lover's Challenge which is posted every Monday! Every week I post the directions to a different technique. You can find a master list of previous challenges in the forum as well. Here is link to the forum: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
We'd love to have you play along when you can.
Nice plug, Beth!;) Seriously, though, I recommend checking out all of the challenges. There are always samples posted to help you see if it's something you are interested in. Also, head to the techniques section of this site (just click on resources up on the top right). Beate and others have great tutorials there!
My favorite technique is the shaving cream. It was the first technique I ever tried, and it is one of the few that I did right the first time. That means it's gotta be really easy! You can use acrylic paints instead of re-inkers. The paper gets a different texture with each. You also can take the shaving cream/paint mixture and pounce it onto the card stock to get a pretty confetti look. This technique was part of a challenge not long ago, and some of the samples I saw were amazing. I don't know how the women got such beautiful tie-dyed looks.
since you already know how to emboss, you might try the cracked glass technique.(posted in the resources section) It's just layers of heated clear, ultra thick embossing powder. I love using UTEE!
This is an easy one and you probably have the tools!
Crumple some waxed paper, tin foil or plastic wrap and dab it on your ink pad and "stamp" it gently onto your paper or CS. Crumpled plastic wrap makes the most dense background, waxed paper slightly less dense and the foil makes the least dense background.
Sometimes I combine 2-3 colors to create additional depth: plastic wrap and an amber colored ink with foil and purple ink on top.
I think one of my favorite techniques is the Dazzling Diamond Dust. Especially pretty with multicolored backgrounds - I use it with the Simply Said flowers a lot, and if you like glitter, it adds just the right touch.
I've got a blog that I use to talk about my "adventures in stamping," trying new techniques and things. I try to write more conversationally then "step-by-step" talking about my goof-ups, too. ;) Here's the link to the index of all my tutorials. I hope that helps!: http://seitlerstamps.blogspot.com/20...ite-index
