Default Odorless mineral spirits

Is the Mona Lisa kind you can get at Mike's the same as the gamsol odorless mineral spirits? If not what is the difference, thanks
Kathy

it is the same medium as gamsol. I can't get gamsol where I live so I use the Mona Lisa brand and it does the job.

HTH.

"Gamsol" is simply a brand name, just like "Mona Lisa". So long as the bottle says it contains 100% odorless mineral spirits, you have the right thing.

Another thing - an 8 oz. bottle will go a looooong way. I don't use mine all that often, but I still have probably 3/4 of the bottle that I bought 3 years ago. Keep that in mind when you're trying to decide how much to buy.

I saw some for sale at stampingfreak.com and the write-up in Gina K's blog said that she's tried lots of odorless mineral spirits and found the artist grade worked the best. She sells it for $6.95 for 4 oz.

One of these days I'm going to have to try out these Prismacolor pencils, etc.! They seem like so much fun!
