Default CTMH help needed!

I've been invited to my first CTMH party and I don't have any idea what to get! I have only used SU paper/inks and mainly SU stamps...I do have some "loose" stamps, but I primarily use SU. I've never even seen a catalog, so I don't know what they have.

Mainly I would be looking at getting some white/vanilla paper and trying out the acylix stamps...I have seen the acrylix stamps that CTMH has, and I am fascinated with them!! LOL What a cool concept!

Any suggestions? I am going to the party with an open mind and seeing what they have to offer that is different from SU...the stamps I have seen of theirs are adorable!!

Anything to avoid? Must haves??

Thanks for all the help/suggestions!

I've been ordering some CTMH stuff lately. I, like you, am fascinated with the Acrylix. ;)

I bought one stamp set, the blocks to use those stamps and a couple of card kits. The kits are fun - pretty paper! Next, I'll buy some of the scrapbooking kits and the June stamp set special (stitches).

Have fun at the party!! :-D

We have some great scrapbooking kits and papers. The Cherish book is gorgeous. If you want to check out all the new merchandise before you go, so that you'll have a better idea, check out the main CTMH website. http://www.closetomyheart.com and click on Current Catalog Products.
If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

I think I'm gonna have a BLAST at the party!! It's at 9:30 Saturday morning and it's a pajama party!! Come in your jammies or sweats (hair and face optional) ROFL It's with a bunch of women at church that get together once a month to stamp/scrap and we always have a ball! Should be a great time!

Have fun at your party!! One of my favorite items that we offer from the summer catty is the groovy blossoms paper and small pleasures stamp set. LOVE IT! My customers love it too. We offer so many wonderful things and I think you will have a blast!!!!!!

Hi -

If you are a scrapbooker I would recommend Cherish - it is such a valuble resource for layout designs.

If you are a stamper my current favorite set is seasonal celebration (can be used for a variety of holidays).

Just my opinion

Default Scrapbook products are great...

Their scrapbook products are great, especially their Level 2 & 3, level 1 is a bit restrictive unless you are a new scrapbooker. Their linen 12x12 albums are way cheaper than SU and are also be a bit nicer (IMHO), although they have patented page protectors so watch out for that.

I second the Cherish book (a little pricey) but very nice.

The real advantage to the acrylic is in the 2 step and alphabet stamps. That is where you'll really notice the difference (and, of course, your wallet as acrylic is much cheaper).

I am a very sporadic scrapbooker...I primarily make only cards, so I'm not too interested in the scrapbooking stuff they have available.

One product I have seen that is a *must* for me is the clear liquid you draw over a stamped image and it dries to look like the image is embossed!! That one I am definitely getting!! I HATE embossing....too dang messy! LOL

I recommend their eyelets because they have a zillion colors and they sell them in individual colors instead of assortments. Also, their embellishment organizer is great!

I love their black ink - it's grey/green based instead of purple. IMO looks very much like a true black.

I'd go for a stamp set for card-making. They have some very cute ones! I haven't seen a catalog in a year, but I love all the fairies and they have some fun sport sets.

CTMH is more geared towards scrappers...I love their paper and embellishments...they have tons of cool stuff.

Check out my newest FAV from CTMH alphas.
I have a GF that is a consultant so I buy pretty much monthly! I just ordered H, B, and S! They are so cute!

The Solos are $13.95.

If your consultant has a website you can see the complete catalog there. If she doesn't have it on her site, or you don't have a consultant, several of us here have our webites in our signatures.
