Default Using acrylic sealant to prevent ink stains

I read somewhere on this site about spraying your block with acrylic sealant before mounting your rubber. Is this a good idea? Are there any cons to this idea? Just afraid the stamp won't adhere as well or that the sealant will crack and flake.

Ive heard of some members using clear spray paint, clear nail polish or poly urethane to seal their wooden blocks

Im not sure what acrylic sealant is... Sorry I couldnt be more helpful!

I use fast drying polyurethane on my blocks before I mount my stamps. I get it at Wal-mart in the paint section. A small can lasts for many stamp sets!!
My stamps stick to the block very well and inks cannot penetrate the wood and stain it. Works great for me. No stained blocks.
