I asked this question in another thread but no one answered.
Being a new stamper and probably having a "Senior Moment" I didn't realize and no one told me to put the name sticker on my plastic cases.
I have loads of stamps with no name.I know I could write on the case with a marker but thought I would see if I could buy just the sticker par of a stamp set?

I doubt you'll be able to purchase just the sticker part since it is part of the entire decal sheet.
I actually don't like the set names that come with the set because the label is clear and you can't really read unless you get up close. I bought a dymo label maker at walmart (under $20.00) and I love it. The label backing is white and you can change the size of the font. I have all of my sets labeled on with them. I can easily locate a stamp set on my shelf.
I do put the name label that comes with the set on the case (I put it on the side where you open it and the dymo label on the end). The nice thing about the labels that come with the case is it tells you how many stamps are in the set.

OH!!! That is a GREAT idea!!! Thanks for sharing!

I still put the sticker name of the stamp set on one end of my plastic case,
but getting older -oooh - I do write with a sharpie on the other end - in bigger letters and it is much easier for me to see the name of the stamp set that way. Don't have to have my reading glasses on when I'm searching.
I stack my stamp sets with the end out that has the sharpie writing on it! (I also put the number of stamps in that set on the end, too, so I can tell at a glance if any are missing (kids love to mix and match!).
Oh - I also wanted to add that if for some reason you don't like the sharpie writing or want to switch cases (I've done that once in awhile), the sharpie writing will come off with 90% alcohol (available in the pharmacy section). Even cases that I wrote on years ago have come clean in the past few weeks.
I'm a new demo for SU (just joined on Monday).
One thing my upline suggested to me is to photo copy the complete label sheet (or you can scan and print) before attaching them to the stamps. Cut the sheet down to size and tape it to the inside bottom of the stamp cases facing outward. This way when someone uses the stamps you know which ones are missing! Cool idea huh? With having three kids of my own that love to stamp it has made it a lot easier form them and myself to know exactly which stamps go with which set.
As for the name sticker... I didn't pay any attention to them before (I know better now) but you can also print the labels with your computer on a label sheet and cut them down to size. Just another idea.

I still have some of mine since I do not use them. Let me know which ones and I will see if I have them.
I use my computer and print them out on Avery labels that come 30 per sheet. They are the perfect size for just this! I ended up with a lot of stamps sets that were used and didn't have things set up how I liked them, so I came up with that system!
Good luck!

I did the same thing, didn't save the label part with the name of the set. I have a Brother P-touch label maker, which I've had since they first came on the market. Now they have better label makers and they are much less expensive. All the above suggestions were wonderful. I also copy the labels and put them in the case. I run them through the Xyron and laminate them first. I have a new printer that the lid can be lifted. I'm gradually doing all my sets by just putting the whole set on the top of the copier, and making 2 copies. One for the set, and one for my book.

Granny, Some sets that I bought second hand didn't have the labels and I also didn't know when I first started buying to put them on the box. So I just typed them out on the word program, printed them, cut them and taped on the box with clear packing tape. You can pick that tape up at the dollar store and maybe even less in some department stores. Choose a good sized font for you to read and your all set. I do also scan if I remember the label sheet for the inside of the box or stamp each one on a sheet of paper and put it in the box under the stamps for me though. This just helps me know I've got all the stamps in the right sets especially if I take them to a stamp party other than home. Rox
I didn't think about putting the name part of the sticker on my box with the first couple of stamp sets I got. I agree with someone who said they're hard to read anyway. I have a label maker and just made a label with the name of the stamp set and put that on the box.
i use a brother personal touch labeler... in the beginning I just stuck the label on whichever end it would fit (since some were long labels)... with little thought to how they would be stored in my stamping cabinet. My husband picked up a re-furbed brother PT labeler at fry's for $20; it is GREAT. I use the white labels with black text; much easier to read than black on clear.

Hey a lot of us did this in the beginning. I did it myself and and figured it out when I seen it on a set in a second hand store. We all have our own system. Pick one of the great ideas mentioned here that best suits your needs!
