Is there anyone e from Jacksonville Illinois that has a monthly scrapbook/card making group?

I'm moving to a small town near Jacksonville Illinois.
I would love to find others near there that like to get together.

I was amazed to see your post and figured it must have been a typo at first!!! I live in Jacksonville and am a card-maker but not a scrapper. I do monthly classes at a friend's house who is an SU demo. There is also a rubberstamping club in Springfield that used to belong to- I am sure they are still meeting monthly.

Also-you're not moving to a total rubber wasteland...there is a store in Springfield called Paper Boutique that has classes and a good selection of scrapping/stamping stuff.

I just looked at your "Stuff I Create"- cool cards!

There is also a "Get it Together" forum here on SCS to help members find others in their area. Have you tried posting there also? Unfortunately, I'm waaaay too far away to join you for stamping. :(

Thanks for the replies. I listed this post in another forum. No response except one person. Which lives 2 1/2 hours away.

I've been trying to learn my way around Jacksonville, more each time we are in the area. That's my way of getting to know where things are.

I know I will be involved with the Jacksonville citizen Police Alumni.
As part of their team.

So that's one activity ill be doing in the area.

But I really wanted to find other card makers/ scrapbook people.

Define "near" ;) I'm 2 hrs away so probably a bit far but welcome to Illinois if you didn't live here before. LOL!

I've lived in Illinois 40 years. Around d the Fox Valley area.

2 hours could be doable. Depending on the weather.

If you'd like, I could also add you to my email list. I'm having a card class this Tuesday (9/10) and next Tuesday (9/17) I'm having a HOME frame class.

That would be good if I was staying in the Fox valley area.

BUT, I'm moving 4 hours away. To west central Illinois. Around Jacksonville Illinois.

Ok. I'm sorry. I must've misunderstood you. I thought you said 2 hrs was doable. Good luck in your location. My hb has an aunt that lives in Jacksonville :)

I found a great place.
 

Yes I found a great place to get together with other scrapbookers and card makers.

2 ladies have a great group that meet one weekend a month.

I’ve been going since I moved in 2020.
Most of the ladies live in Quincy Illinois, Missouri and Iowa.

I’ve made some good friendships!
