Well, I'm going back a bit, but I was first inspired by Aleene (from Aleene's Crafts), Sandi Genovese, Carol Duvall, and many of their guests, whose names I can't remember. Over the years that have followed, there have been many crafters and artists who have inspired me. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to share what they know.

I am definitely going back but my first mentors/friends/source of inspiration and encouragement were Anne Ryan and Charlene Merrick (Lilluvsstamping). There have been many over the years and they are the reason I continue to stamp. All of the stampers then and now bring so many ideas, encouragement and fun to this hobby. Thanks to all.

Rebecca Sower. She was a scrapbooker that I first discovered in Creating Keepsakes magazine, when she was a Hall of Famer. She broke all the scrapbooking rules with her deep, emotional journaling that often had very little to do with the photos and her free-spirited style. Rebecca changed how I scrapbooked and why I scrapbooked. I have her 2 books from almost 20 years ago and still read them today.

I belong to Pampopular's monthly swap and love all the cards I get there. I've CASE'd a few of Sophie LaFontaine's cards; she uses CTMH stamps frequently and I own a lot of those. I admire her work
On a personal note, fellow SCS'ers who I think are awesome: Karly1020, Buggainok, Forest Ranger, LateBlossom, Ncrosarian and Barbaralynn. Wonderful women and wonderful stampers!!
I was introduced to stamping over 20 years ago by a fantastic CTMH (then DOTS) demo and "Kay" is still a very good friend to this day |
I was one of the only girls at an electrical contracting company for 20 years - I feel you!

Those crafters greatly inspired me, also, and are the first people that came to mind when I saw this tread. I was fortunate to work for a bit at Posh Impressions with Dee Gruenig and learned so much just watching her stamp and chatting.

Oh golly, so many have inspired and taught me along the way. Some of those ladies are our very own moderators! Lydia Fiedler, Bev Gerard, and Jeanne Streiff. But can't forget Kittie Caraciola who inspired me to try my hand at watercolor, Judy Rozema, and Michelle Zindorf. Others I haven't seen around in quite some time include Emily Giovanni and her sister Kimberley, Rainy, Bad Sherry, Beate Johns. There are others but most of these are ladies I've been able to stamp with personally.
