Default inside of card?-my story

Hi All,
I was wondering what many of you are doing for the inside of the card to make it unique...any interesting ideas??

I have to tell you this story, since I am feeling somewhat clever with myself I made an elegant card (most elegant to date) and was trying to put "You Will Be Missed" in ink letters, since I didn't have a stamp with a saying on it. I got it stamped, but messed up with a good part of the stamp showing. So I proceeded to put some flower brads (3) on the paper, covering my mistake. I then took a Versamark pen and went back and forth over the words, then used Diamond Dust for a shiny look. But what I got was an elegant card outside and a 'fun' card inside. They didn't match. I was so mad. But then I thought of the woman I was giving the Farewell card to...she is elegant and fun! Problem solved. I wrote in the card, " I made this card with two traits...elegance and fun...just like you..blah blah blah". You get the idea. Anyways, I saved the card!! (she probably wouldn't even have picked up on my gaff). Feeling a very big head and full of hot air!!

I love your story!

Usually I don't put anything inside my cards because I never know what I want to write in them at the last minute. Sometimes I have wayyy too much blank space (usually when I don't know someone that well). So I'll write something like "Happy Birthday" in an artsy way to make up for it.

Leaving my cards blank also lets me use them for group signings, too. There's room for everyone to write "HB."

But I also like an occassional little image down in the corner, too...

Great recovery

Just last night I had to cut a separate piece of CS slightly smaller than the inside of the card itself to save one I'd made a mistake on while signing...whew!

I love the idea of repeating an element from the outside of the card on the inside...like webseitler suggested, a little leaf or flower in the corner (and even on the corner of your envelope) just helps to polish off your card.

Fun thread! Thanks for starting!

Meg

I always add a stamped image on the inside that matches the card front. It keeps the inside exciting too. I may not stamp a sentiment right away until I know what I wll use the card for but it is always decorated on the inside...

I also stamp a corresponding image inside the card. But my favorite thing to do because I am a horrible writer... I CASE other card sayings from online card stores like hallmark.com for my sentiments. They take seconds to find and write. I used to have to ask my DH to write our cards because my writing is atrocious - but now that I can CASE from other's it's just faster for me to write them myself. I guess having to think about what to say and write it was just too difficult for this gal :P
