Inky mess...

Help please! One of my customers dropped her basic black ink pad on her hardwood floor. She tried to clean int w/ Stampin'ist and regular hardwood cleaner but had no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions I can pass along?
TIA!

I have had good luck with the "Magic Eraser DUO" but I am not sure if it will work on wood flooring or if it says NOT to use it on wood? I would have her check but I actually used that with the Stampin Mist on my tile when I dropped a pad...it was red though, not the black?

MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER!

I used it when I dropped a stamp inked in Basic Black on my table. I all came off.

Try toothpaste. Believe it or not. It worked on my dining room table. My husband is a cleaning fanatic and it is abrasive and he used it worked!

I don't know from personal experience, but many people have said that you apply some yoyo yellow ink, let it sit, and it will come right off! Some chemical in the yellow, I guess.

The same thing just happened to me! I immediately scrubbed the floor with soap/water and rubbing alcohol. Nearly all the ink came off. Good luck!

Yes, yo yo yellow... someone told me to buy a pad just to have to clean my stained stamps from the black ink. Magic Eraser is wonderful... my son went on a creative wave on his natural wood furniture... I panicked cause it was brand new!!! The magic eraser is my best friend now.

The magic eraser is great - I used it to get black Staz-On off my wood kitchen table. Be careful though - it also takes off some of the shine. Might be better to try the other solutions first - toothpaste or rubbing alcohol or yoyo yellow. If those don't work, I'd rather loose a bit of shine than keep the stain.

I've used nail polish remover before to remove crayon and marker my kids' play table. Use just enough to dampen the cotton ball and don't apply a ton of pressure and it doesn't touch the finish of the furniture. Not sure how it would work on wood, but less is more on this one.

Krud Kutter. It's used to remove dried on latex paint. I just restored my armstrong vinyl floor with it, it looks like new! I also use it to remove nasty label residue.
