Problem w/Craft Ink drying

I'm having a problem with the White Craft Ink drying when I use the Blender Pen to apply the ink. I made a card using the pine tree from lovely as a tree and then I used the blender pen to add the white craft ink on the branches of the tree ... so it looks like snow on the branches.

Well, it's been FIVE DAYS and the craft ink is still a little tacky! ! ! :confused: I don't have the heat gun so I haven't tried that. BUT .... if I wanted to make this card at a workshop or a stamp-a-stack, it wouldn't look very good if the ink stayed wet long after the client took her card home.

Is there some chemical reaction with the ingredients in the blender pen and the craft ink? I used the craft ink and stamped snowflakes on the card and it dried just find.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Since you aren't applying embossing powder, you don't have to worry about blowing the powder off. Just use your hair dryer since you don't have a heat gun.

Just checking - did you use glossy cardstock? I've applied craft ink with a blender pen before and didn't notice having this problem, but I used regular cardstock.

I tried using my hair dryer (but just for about 30 seconds) and I used Handsome Hunter cardstock.

I will try the heat gun once I get that. I'm expecting my SU! order on Tuesday and I HOPE THAT STUFF IS DRY BY THEN :rolleyes:

the paper may affect how quickly it dries, and as someone else says ( especially since its ben a few days) try you hair dryer to dry it, since you are not embossing it and worrying about the powder . Craft ink is like paint sometimes humidity, recent rain, the type of paper, where you are storing it, etc will affect the outcome and how quickly it dries,
if you are still having some problems with it, apply some crystal effects or white chalk, or a pearl ex to it, and that should stick to it if it is still a little tacky and suck up whats left of the wet feeling ( i hope that made sense, having a day )

I've used a blender pen with SU craft ink on plain cardstock and it dried in a day.
