Default Castaway bleach pad.anyone have this yet,

Where can I get this?.how much is it.?
I love the bleached look but hate the smell.and I read this doesn't have a smell to it like regular bleach.and this is a new bleach pad for us stampers.to get the same great techniques for all the bleach ideas.

It seems to work better on "cheap" papers as opposed to good quality cardstock. You can get some neat effects when used in conjunction with Distress inks: Samples with distress ink and Crane ATC

I haven't tried it with an iron yet but I have never gotten this to work with my heat gun. It's now been relegated to the shouldn't have bought pile for me!

I went to a convention in Aug and one of my friends bought 4 of these pads, one for herself, the others for gifts. I didn't buy one because it does not work on buffered CS, and most of what I have is CTMH which is buffered. Anyway she took them home opened one and followed the instructions and it did not work, she opened another one, same thing. She tried heat gun, iron, tons of different papers, nothing worked. She contacted the company and they had her send them back, they said she'd gotten some from a "bad batch" and one of the one she had not opened was fine, they stamped them all and sent her the samples back, she was disappointed and frankly did not believe them when they told her she got a "bad batch" so she just asked for her money back. Which they did send.
Very long story short, I think this pad only works well on a very limited type of paper and they told her you do *have* to use an iron, heat tool will not work, that I don't think it's worth the trouble. But this is just one experience.

I too had a similar experience. I bought mine in August and it would NOT work. After calling the company though, they were very nice and had me try some tips and explained about it only working on DYED paper and CS, NOT pigmented (which most everything is). The customer rep told me to try it on cheap construction paper and if it still didn't work to let her know and she would replace it.
She mentioned that the high heat and temperature of the summer caused a lot of their shipments to netrualize and they pads weren't working.
I discovered that mine was one of them and they sent me a reinker to add to my pad and it has worked great since then. I've even gotten it to work on some CS that it wasn't supposed to.
I like it a lot, but I am allergic to bleach and have no other options.
