Default Ink on foam part of stamp?

I need some help here. When I use my stamps at workshops, people often get ink on the wooden blocks and I don't care agbout that, it's just cosmetic. But at my last workshop, I noticed there was ink soaked in all over the foam part of the stamp. One of my stamps is actually flatter on the side where the foam is ink soaked, and I have nine other stamps that have ink in the foam. I tried spplying some cleaner on a paper towel to wick it up but it's not coming out. has anyone had this happen? I guess I could remount the affected stamp with new rubber but I'm not sure what to do with rest of them. I don't even know how the sides of the foam could get so ink soaked, it's never happened before. Thanks......Marta

I know sometimes ink can get on the foam part when you're cleaning the stamps... if your scrubber is pretty wet (and kind of inky). But I wouldn't think the ink staining the foam would hurt it. I've never had a stamp actually be flatter on one side where ink was on it. That seems odd. I hope someone else has some good advice for you.

Thanks Sencie, I bet that's exactly what happened. I normally just ask everyone to stamp off the ink when the are done and then I clean them afterwards, but this time I left my stampin scrub out and one of my guests said afterwards that she cleaned all of my stamps for me. I also think my stampin scub was pretty dirty and in need of a cleaning, so I'm sure it made a nice inky mess while cleaning. Maybe the stamp that is slightly flattened is just a fluke. I will definitely be cleaning out my stampin scrub today.
