Default Ink That Changes Paper Color ?

I was in my LSS and they have ink pads that you stamp your image with, and then heat it and the color of the paper changes.

Anyone ever used this before? They didn't have any samples, so I was wondering how well it worked.

The name was "Castaway". I don't know if that was the brand name or just the product name.

Sharon,

I have had one of these pads for about 4 months, and the jury is still out. It is supposed to give your image a "batik" look, so it works better for solid images than line images. The effect also depends on the card stock you use. It works great on some black CS and not on others - don't like the look at all on lighter CS.

It is called Castaway Ink and it is made by Jacquard. Here is some info on it:

In order for it to work, you must IRON it...I tried doing it with a heat gun but that did not work.

I agree with Sandi. I have a pad and like the look on the dark cardstock only. However, I have found it does not work well or equally on all types of card stock. I have been doing some experimentation with and so far I have noticed that it seems to work better on the heavier types of cardstock. When I stamp with it, I let dry and then iron it.
