An Important Poll! Snort!!!
1 Attachment(s)
Just sharing something fun......
Take a look at this card that Wannabcre8tive made, read my story and then take this important poll!! Snort!! This is my story! 1. One day I was just driving to work minding my own business when some lady pulls up along side of me and gives me a smug look. 2. I roll down my window and she says, do you know you have a flat? Sorta with a look on her face like....what a dummy you are! 3. After taking care of my flat, I get to work and share the story with several of my buddies. 4. And this is what I got as a result! Snort! |
What a cute card you received! Knock on wood, but I've never had a flat when I was driving. Glad it was a happy ending.
Smiles, Anne |
that's funny! Sorry but I am the one who always checks tires BEFORE I get in the vehicle and that is usually early enough to call road service if I need it!
Nice card!! LOL |
Another knock on wood, but the only flat I've had was a blow-out (loud bang, thump, thump, thump).
The card is fabulous! TFS |
I don't think you're an idiot, but no, this has never happened to me.
I have had a flat while I was driving, but I can always tell with the way the wheel pulls, so I know to pull over right away. (It happened once) |
Cute card btw. LOL
|
I'll admit it!!! I drove about 30 km home on a flat wondering the entire time what was wrong. I didn't even have a nice smug looking lady tell me... I had to figure it out myself.
I'm just depressed I didn't get such a cute card for my stupidity!! |
 um, well, um
BTW fab card! |
*laugh* Well, sorry about the flat, but I love how the sparkly hairband matches the sparkling hubcaps!!
|
that happened to me once. The roads here are so terrible that it's hard to tell if your tire is flat! Ruts, potholes, etc... all kinds of pulls and bumps are normal, so add a flat tire? You never notice!

Actually, I've been driving with a flat 2 times before noticing. How embarassing! I've always wondered if people noticed, but just didn't say anything. Atleast she said something even if it was smuggly!
LOVE the card by the way. |

Well, at least you weren't stopped in front of the county courthouse, lapping the car trying to figure out what was making that funny thunk-thunk-thunk wollopy noise, in your pajamas . . . cuz you were running your teenage daughter quickly down to school that day . . .
Yeah . . . uh huh. http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...mbarrassed.gif Love the card! Too cute! |
I thought my tire was a "little" low, so I drove about 4-5 blocks to the gas station from work, and when I got there, it was FLATTER than a pancake!!
Now it was 8pm, and it was dark, almost zero degrees out, and there was a lot of snow on the ground, so I really couldn't see how flat it actually was! Glad I had AAA!! I've had them for years and never got to use them. Loved the card, BTW !!!! |

I've driven with a flat and had no idea. (My Dad pointed it out to me...) My husband drove to work this week and had a flat!! The policeman in front of the Pentagon was kind enough point it out to him. Then I drove the car with the spare to get the tire repaired and the guy there told me that that spare tire was flat, and dangerous! sigh...
PS. I love the sparkly headband too! |

The only flat tire I had was when I was driving home from getting my hair done one day. I was driving along, and wondering why there was this loud noise all of a sudden. My car already was loud so this was nothing unusual. So I kept driving until I could pull off onto a country road. I get out, find a flat, and open my trunk to get my spare out.
Lo and behold, a cop pulls up in front of me, and told me he saw me driving with a flat. And asked if I had a spare. He changed it for me. I lucked out. But, I wish I got a pretty card like yours. |
I plead the fifth! That story and card are hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the laugh! :)

The way our tires are manufactured these days - some don't really go flat at all.
|
ROFLMBO!!!! First I'm so sorry you had a flat. However, being the car freak that I am, I'd know if the tire was low ....flat would just not happen. Unless is was a blow out; and even then it would have to be a factory flaw or when the cops throw those blow-out strips in front of me when I wont pull over. They go too slow and I have places to be. :p

Okay, we have a lifetime secret....but wait.... Come to think about it...I could blackmail you for FREE stamping stuff! I will give it some thought! Nanner, Nanner Boo! Boo! |
LOL thanks for sharing. I could just imagine the look on that woman's face!
I didn't do this but my Mom did. She drove it on the highway for up to 30 miles (who really knows?) before she got home. My Dad took the car into the shop for repair. The repair guy took one look at it and said, "This must be your wife's car." ROFL Apparently you aren't the only one! |
I voted once and never again in honor of my mother.
this happened to her.. right after being informed of my cousin's suicide. she probably gave the person who rolled up next to her to tell a serious scare, as she was understandably crying hysterically at the the red light. Luckily, the school I was attending at the time was private and had it's own garage/gas station and she was able to get air and the temp fix. She still had to tell my cousin's mother.... |
I'm usually with my hubby who is informing the person who has a flat that he/she is driving with one. But I promise that we never, ever look smug when doing so, and hubby always offers to change it for the unfortunate driver. He's a sweetie pie that way!

Oh my....what a sad, sad thing.....and what a time to have to deal with a flat when in a state of mind such as hers...So sorry, that is such a hard thing to deal with and live through....Hugs.... |

Cute card!
I can't imagine why someone doesn't invent a tire that will never wear down or break:rolleyes: Is this too much to ask? |
Did you change the tire yourself? I'm impressed!
I'm the sort of person who identifies cars by the fact that they are a certain color (I drive one that's sort of between Brilliant Blue and Night of Navy) and the fact that they've got 4 tires (who notices whether or not they're inflated unless they're sitting right on the ground?) and, if I'm really paying attention, either 2 or 4 doors. A car person I am not! LOL! |
My husband has shown me on more than one occasion how to change a tire.
However, when it comes to car-related issues, I have the attention span and retention of a gnat. I immediately forget what he tells me. Probably going over the budget in my mind and wondering if we change that tire ourselves how much money $$$ does that save that could be transferred to the miscellaneous slush fund for stamps. :D :D |
I've driven with a flat without knowing it- a drive through pointed it out to me. I couldn't figure out what the noise was! But now I'll recognize it!
|
Um.....don't scream at me Gert, but I have never had a flat on my own --- a blow out (and I HEARD that!) but not a flat........LOL
so I couldn't take the poll!! The answers don't fit......LOL F & F Doozie |
