Default I'm tired

I was an SU customer. I am a demo. I will soon be a former demo. I buy from stores and on line. I buy TAC. I buy buy buy. I also stamp.
I'm tired of all the not too subtle baiting of demos, customers on SCS. What's the deal? This site is turning into one big whine fest, argument, etc. It used to be fun.
If you are unhappy with your customers, don't sell to them. If you are unhappy with your demo, find another one or become one. Can't we just move on and get back to stamping?????

AMEN!!!! Very well said. When I first came to SCS it was fun with very little arguing. Now, its just like you can open any random thread and there will be someone blasting someone else. I wish it would go back to the way it used to be!!

Wooohooo Joan!! I am SO in agreement with you! I'm tired, tired, tired of all the whining . . . . . I'm off to stamp!

P.S. that "ignore" feature is an excellent way to rid yourself of the whine!

Joan, I so agree with you. I, too, was a customer, demo and soon to be former demo. Not becoming a former demo for any reason other than I am just ready to quit. I work a full time job, and just want to become a customer again. I do not EXPECT my demo to do any of the things asked about in the polls that are going. If she offered, that would be great, but I probably would pass on most of the things. I used the majority of income to put back in my business, which included door prizes and gifts to customers/hostesses. I, too, think that we all need to get back to the original idea of this site, sharing ideas, not opinions that tend to stir things up. JMO.

SCS is still a happy place if you choose to stay away from negative threads. I know those threads went around but life is much more important to me than to spend time reading such subjects and I didn't read them.

It’s a free country we live in and there are young men and woman making that happen for us, so instead of reading the negative go make a card for one of them and so they know you appreciate what they are doing for us.

Or take the time to realize some children in this world won’t have a chance to grow up and read such threads. Make them happy for a few seconds with a card.

Yes, I too am tried of running into threads of whining adults! Thanks Joan!

Off to make my first full scrapbook! Wish me luck as its for my friends first baby and it will be her shower gift. I S*#k at scrapbooking-but I shall try. Worst case senario I'll go buy something off her registry!

Joan,
You are a hoot. I'm with you. Let's have more cheese and less whine. Oooh, let's have a Survivor theme for VSN and vote the big whiners off SCS. Hehehe. Okay I'm kidding. Darn my chronic sarcasm. I better go take some Pollyanna pills.

oh and Lauren, good luck. I can't imagine you doing anything less than a beautiful job. You're an awesome stamper.

Rox - YOU ROCK!
I don't run into whining threads because I avoid them. It is like a radio station - if you don't like what is playing - turn the channel. I personally love SCS, I love the creativity it inspires, I love the way my stamping has gone up several notches, I love the sisterhood - in short, if you dwell where the whining is, you will hear whining, if you dwell where the creativity and fun is happening, that is what you will find.

I agree 100%, if I am reading a thread and it seems to be headed in the wrong direction, I skip it and move on.
Negativity can be contagious!

In general, this site makes me happy by reminding me how many GOOD people there are in the world. Let's keep it that way!! This stampin stuff is way too much fun!!

SCS is supposed to be a fun and happy place chat and learn.

So everyone go and sit on the floor cross legged with a stamp in each hand and say ooooooohhhhhhmmmmm until you find their happy stamping place

Have a great weekend everyone.

i'm with you all!! what drew me to scs when i found it was first, the fact that there were skeighty eight zillon (hmm, i say this all the time but never had to spell it before) cards to look at and get ideas from. the second thing that impressed me was the wealth of information and the sense of community among it's members. when you have a question or problem, there is always a slew of people eager to help and encourage. let's continue to focus on that!

Don't worry about the scrapbook. It will be lovely and appreciated. Maybe think of it as a series of beautiful cards--which is probably what you are already good at. I've been doing scrapbooks for a looooong time and am hard on myself sometimes. Don't be. Enjoy

I agree with all of you. If you don't like where a thread is going -- leave it and go somewhere where they're having fun! Remember, it takes less muscles to smile than it does to frown. It takes less stress to be creative than it does to complain and whine.

I am sure it will be the talk of the baby shower!

Yes Joan- you have a great point, and so do many others. Not sure why this once always happy place has turned sour grapes on more than several occasions. I do wish you luck as you enjoy being a customer again!!!

Maybe there should be a separate forum for whining.... Then those threads would be easier to ignore. LOL

I agree with all of you regarding too much whine here. I try to stay away from all the negativity because it does nothing more than drag me down. Also, I wanted to say that my son is one of these young men who are defending our country. He is in Afghanistan for the next year. If any of you feel compelled to maybe send him a card, that would be great. His address is:

John A. Sanuy II

I absolutely love this site and always look for positive threads. And this really happens to be one. Thanks Joan for starting it.

I just emailed him and told him that he might be receiving cards from some ladies off of this web site that I go to. I also told him that I was not trying to set him up with anyone (he is 40 and single) that I just had 80,000 friends here and I was sure the majority were married with children.

Slight hijack but nothing you do sucks! I go to your gallery daily for inspiration. I think you may be the only SCSer that I regularly look to for ideas. Keep them coming!

Big Hooray! for those ready to turn things around! It has been so draining lately. Lets get back to being one big happy stamping family! I can't wait to see all the samples everyone makes because they're in a good mood again.

It seems people get their panties in a bunch about the smallest things. ie: I just got a pm from a lady that I traded a set with a month ago. She tore me a new one because two of the stickers were switched. Telling me how dishonest I am!! Boy oh Boy.

I agree completely Joan there is a lot going of this going on. I ignore it unless theres a good cat fight goin on. LOL Just kidding. If the issue purtains to me then I scim and scan it but thats about it. I am all for having a gripping thread so it stays in one area. I do miss the way things were when I first joined.

PS: I noticed most of the complaining and such when the announcement of the all the changes began.

I agree Joan, it honestly helped me when I stopped being a demo, got off the demo side of the board, and took a lot of the pressure off of myself. Congrats to you for knowing when your demoing was too much for you, and lets all be happy folks!
