Default I'M IN LOVE.....

...with my new XYRON 510 machine! That's right ladies, I am in love with this thing. I purchased one this week at JoAnn's. They are normally the $49.95 one, but on sale this week for $34.95. It came with 18 feet of permanent adhesive. I used the roll for my SU swirls vellum on my Christmas cards....WOW....easy! I have not been happy with ANY adhesives for vellum, they ALL show through. This machine made the entire piece (5 1/4" x 4") sticky. I got 40 pieces done with the 18 ft roll...well worth the investment. Just PEEL & STICK!!! I sound like an info-mercial...it slices, it dices!!!! Just had to share my enthusiasm with you all. I cant wait to "stick" something else.

Default I'm in love

I got my 510 a few months ago at our Ben Franklin with a 40% off coupon and also love it so much. I have the 500 too but it's waring out with all the useage over the last couple years. I'm glad I invested in the 510. I might even invest in the larger Xyrons to bump up the posibilities for use.

Oh, I can hardly wait for my 900 to get here!! I know some think I paid too much, but 3 rolls of adhesive and laminate plus the machine for $80 is worth it to me. I can hardly wait for it to get here. I'm thinking it will really help adhere card stock to the tops of the altoids tins.

I have a 510 and love it too. It's wonderful for vellum - I never liked how adhesives went onto vellum either! Enjoy!

Good morning,

I have the 900, but would like to get a 500 or 510. What is the difference between the 500 and the 510?

The 500 only makes stickers while the 510 accepts cartridges that laminate etc.

Why have two? Doesn't the 900 do everything that the 510 would do??

Yes, it does. Plus, around here at least, the cartridges are less per sq. inch. Hmmm....

Vanessa (proud owner of a 900. I also have a 150 but almost never use that one.)

Whatever size you have, it is a great time-saver, as well as doing the job - sticking, that is. The 500 series is physically smaller then the 900 and above, and the 500 series is for 5" and smaller. Check out wilde-ideas.com for specs.

WOW...so thrilled to hear that everyone else is loving their XYRON machines. I just came from JoAnn's and bought 2 more perm adhesive refill cartridges. Cant beat 40% off......unless its FREE!!! I cant wait to find something else to make sticky!!! Again, thrilled with the result on the vellum. I will use vellum more often now, because I know the adhesive wont show through.

Default Xyron

Okay, after you purchase the machine, is it cheaper than the two-way tape. What I mean is do the refills and what you do beat the cost of 2-way tape. I'm not sure I know what I am saying or if you will understand my crazy question?

Thanks
Shirley

Kymbers,

Where did you get your Xyron and refills for $80? I think that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Thanks for the info!

I guess the 900 would be good for scrapbooking, but all you need is a 500 or 510 for card making. (Oh, and the little "X" sticker maker for small stickers!) I think there would be a lot of waste with the 900 unless you're doing full pages.
