Wow....someone was sure thinking of a way to try to scam. This is awful...isn't it available on the customer website for free??!! And anyways, demos will be passing them out right and left!
OMGosh!!!!! I cannot believe that someone would be so flippin' stupid to pay for the retirement list! Is that what "they" are actually wanting someone to do? Sometimes I think ebay is a moron magnet!!!

I emailed it to DS just for the heck of it. Maybe it will bother someone enough to stop them. It's one thing to sell stamps becuase they actually have value...but to purposely scam someone?
I can't believe this. The words that came out of my mouth can't be written. Guess it tells you the lengths someone will go to to get someone else's money!!!

But really, what moron are they trying to attract with this? Not only would someone have to be completely out of their ever lovin' mind to bid on something available for free to begin with, but then to pay more than the cost of the stamp to boot? Is it printed on gold paper or something?!?
I just went to the SU website and unless I'm missing something (which is completely possible since I'm braindead most of the time ) the retired list is not posted on the customer site yet.
I am flabbergasted! I can't believe that someone would actually do this! I just checked it and it said that the bidding has ended with 0 bids, I am so glad no one fell for this one!

Nobody, in their right might would knowingly pay anything for something you can get for free. So obviously, any buyers wouldn't know the retired list is a free item, or the seller is packaging something that makes it more valuable than FREE.
I haven't seen the auction, so have no idea if that's the case (and I'll assume it isn't based on this thread), but there are people in the world that don't know about SCS - and maybe don't even visit SU's official site (I know - can you believe that?!). We read thread postings about new SCS users all the time so we just need to be better about educating our fellow stampers
I really hope no one would actually purchase this list. But, not everyone knows about SCS nor the fact that SU has the list free of charge! I think it's pathetic that this person would essentially prey on that ignorance and exploit it. Greedy, IMHO

Ha Ha Ha....Hee hee hee....if someone actually pays $.99 for something they could get for free...then $.60 for shipping on somethng that could be emailed they are a complete IDIOT!
