I still have a bunch of little things to do yet, but it's really just finishing and staging. Hopefully tomorrow.

When I saw the cabinet you were talking about replicating, I thought "no way!" I didn't realize this is your forte until you displayed the other pieces you've already created. All amazing! And it's incredible you're doing this step by step while responding/conversing with us on this site. Somebody mentions something...you're ON IT!! What lovely creations you make. I also enjoyed the pinwheel box videos. Following your videos, I think I could do that...now to figure out who I'd make it for. If ever I do one, you'll get the credit and a photo. I'd like to suggest you contact your local library to see if they wouldn't want to display these pieces for the public to view. Our library changes exhibits on a regular basis and I've seen some incredible handcrafted pieces, and/or collections, of all kinds. One exhibit several years ago was miniature dollhouse items, all created by a local hobbyist and included the most gorgeous 'Persian' rug that she had handstitched! Just incredible work. Like yours they deserve to be on display. Thanks for sharing your unending talent.

wow! handstitched a mini persian rug, eh?! that's awesome! twenchie is totally incredible, just like that!
I have to say that you all have made this a fantastic journey. I normally create in my little corner of my world by myself in the basement. The support and overwhelming interest is well beyond what I had expected when I started this. I was really just looking for fellow 3D'ers. You all rawk!
I had hoped to finish it today, but that is not to be. I'm blaming it on mirami. I was looking for something to adorn the top of the hutch and had nothing suitable in my stash. I thought a wicker basket would look nice but I didn't want to make one. I thought it'd take a long time and I've spent enough already. Then she goes and says "it needs a wicker basket!" and I'm like . . . get out of my head!! LOL So . . . I'm trying to make a wicker basket and I'm not talking to her anymore until I'm all done. Like the rest of the project, I'm making it up as I go and this is what I came up with. I hope it works out. The plan is to use the brown to finish the top edges. I'm still thinking about how to make it work for the corners.
I also finished off trying to make the exterior of the hutch look like wood. Doing it after it's built was not the best approach but I wasn't smart enough to think of it before.
Finally, I spent about 3 hours making a little vase. It shouldn't take so long huh?
Pat . . . I walk past the downtown library all the time, but never go in. Now I will. Thanks for the idea!
Hopefully I'll finally put this one to rest tomorrow.
Thank you all for checking back all the time. You are a patient bunch!

All this and she makes a vase and a basket too - Amazing! Is there anything that this woman cannot do? I'm loving that she is not skeered of a challenge - a BIG challenge! I'm very glad to know ya, Wenchie. You make me very proud. No telling how many hours you have invested in this project - yikes! I love details - lots and lots of details. As for me -This detail oriented gal fully appreciates every little nook and cranny! You picked a great audience here at SCS to showcase your talent. I'm ready for the next show. Save me a seat!
LOL Valli! You make me raff! Moonpie . . . I heart you!
Guess what?!!!! It's finally done!!! OMG OMG OMG ! It was really beginning to feel like the project that would never end and once I stopped talking to mirami, it did! LOL
Here it is!
I've uploaded it to my gallery as well, but I don't think it's been approved yet, but there are gobs of close ups on my blog if you want to see more. I'd love to have you over for a looksee. Paper Castle - Just a Hutch
What should I make next? lol
Thanks so much to everyone who went on this journey with me. You sure made it fun!

My thoughts are you should mind your own business! ROFLMAO!!! A hope chest? hmmm sounds too easy.
I could throw out a challenge to you all to google furniture items and challenge me to make it. I'll pick one. Of course, it'd only be something I think I could do LOL
