Default I'm Curious

I am not a "liner" so I'm curious about those of you who are When you use a liner on the inside of your card, do you line the whole thing (ala Hallmark) or just the side you're writing on?

I line both sides about 1/8 inch or so shorter than all the sides. I sometimes use decorative scissors to cut the edges and sometimes I will edge in a complimentary color. I then run double sided tape down the center of the card. Also, I use just plain ol' computer paper.

On dark cards I add a liner on the right side of the inside of the card and leave 1/4" all the way around. I also tend to ink the edges and stamp a small stamp in the corner that goes with the motif of the front of the card.

I usually only line the one side. Not the back of the card front....but the opposite one. Hmmm...I guess I would line the whole thing if I had alot of pokey embellishments going through!

Interesting, I don't line mine. Maybe I should?

If it's too dark to write on, I line it with white or vanilla, usually cutting the cs to 4 x 5.25. I don't line top and bottom, if the guts are showing, so be it!

I always print the inside verse or saying on the computer, trim it slightly smaller than the card, leaving about 1/8" all around, and adhere it to the right-hand inside of the card. I don't do the back of the front, because I always finish my card fronts (which are 4" X 5 1/4") first then mount then to a half sheet folded card. That way none of the 'workings' show on the inside.

I use gelly pens to write on dark paper. I'm too lazy to add another layer on the inside

I do add a layer on the inside......and it depends on what I do on the outside front ......if I need to add a layer on both of the insides......

I also like to add a small stamping touch on the inside part where one would write a note ......just too keep with the front theme!

and lately I've been adding that same touch to the outside envelope......

I use inserts, cut slightly smaller than the card. I print the verse or greeting on the computer onto contrasting paper and sometimes stamp a border or corners to match the front of the card.

I do it using vellum tracing paper and line both the front and the back - a la Hallmark but only attach it to the spine of the card. That way it looks very professional. I've had many compliments on it.

I've done both. If I have sewing or embellishments to cover, or I want a "dressier" look, then I do the whole thing. But most times I just do the one side- with computer paper, coordinating printed paper, or vellum.

Me too! I just hate to waste the extra paper too. I'm lazy and cheap, I suppose.
